Has anyone had any dealings with PDL ventures payday loans/Express Cash? I'm getting threatening e-mails from these people. They are asking me to send them $250.00 by money gram or further action will be taken. The $250.00 will pay the loan in full no matter what the balance is. I just want to be sure of what kind of action if any they can do. Please advise.
Thank You

Has anyone succesfully, ended an account w/o them taking any more money after it was paid in full? I've been trying to call all the numbers provided and no answer. I have one more pay period before they will take out the full amount and was trying to call and pay it off b4 I was charged another $90. Someone plese help I want to end this thing.

i took out a loan from rocky boy ventures (aka rbt, togethercash.com, pdl ventures, red river ventures, etc.). I had the same experiences as everyone, $90 taken out every two weeks, no way to contact anyone. I asked my bank to put a hold on the debits. They put a hold "at the company level", which seems to have worked so far. At this point I have paid $360 for a $300 loan, which according to CA law is more than enough. I recently got an email request for an additional $490 or a deal of $400 if I pay in one lump sum; that would be $700 for a $300 loan. Illegal. I have filed a BBB complaint for PDL Ventures and RBTloans. I will file with CA Attorney General's office and the FTC. I am sending them via email and post copies of all letters and asking that they stop contact and send a letter stating that I have paid if full. Hopefully that will work!

Most states do not allow companies like PDL to offer loans. If you live in one of the 16 states that do allow payday loans, you should close your bank account and tell them to take it uo with the states attorney's office.

I got two separate with them the first loan everything went as planned the second loan the offer me a deal and then took it back the settled with me that if I paid them the loan of 400.00 back on the 15th I would not have to pay the interest payment. Which I did on the 15th they took the money as scheduled and on the 29th they tried to take another 400.00 I called them to find out what was going on a recording came on stating they were close for the day and would re-open on Monday. I called today and the number is out of service along with their fax # and their website log-n

I Live in PA and took a loan through these scammers "PDL Ventures". After numerous attempts to contact them and pay off my loan they still keep charging me the $90 fee. I'm closing that account. If I pay the amount back that was owed ie, Ive paid $360 on $300. Can they legaly come after me in PA? I was more then willing to give them the $390 and be done with the matter but have no one to contact. I am nowcloing my account so they can not rip me off anymore.

I recently took a loan from PDL also. I've paid back $190 so far. My bank refused to pay the next payment so I called them today @ 866-631-8201 and spoke to a nice young lady named Jessie. She states they have taken over some of the loans and PDL's phone number. She stated they have not been able to contact PDL in 2 weeks. They have acccess to part of their server and the phone rolls over to them. The phone number she gave me for "Rocket Boy PDL" is 866-824-0893. She agreed this entire thing is really weird. I asked what would happen if I default the loan, she didn't seem quite sure, but thought her company will follow through. I'm voting not to pay them any more till I get some real answers. I had to hold for a long time before anybody answered the phone. Jessie said they have been swamped with people calling about their loans. So keep trying to call or put a stop payment on them until they surface.

DO NOT get a loan thru these people. I recently got a loan at the beginning of the month & had to close my bank account since there is no way to contact these people. I am contacting the BBB on them, since getting a loan with them my bank contacted me saying there was an attempt to change my pin. Their website is bogus, after you "esign" the paperwork, there is nothing to go back to in regards to your account as the paperwork states to go to if you wish to have the full amount taken out instead of the $90 renewal fees. My paperwork stated they would take $90/paycheck for a period of 4 paydays & then the full amount on the 5th payday. DO NOT GET A LOAN THRU THESE PEOPLE!!!! Find a local company in your city!!!!!!

PDL Venture is such a pain. There number stopped working and I finally went through Rocky Boy to have some kind of contact with them. I needed to waive a payment and they allowed it. I just need to get rid of all these payday loans I have, but it's getting harder and harder to dig out.

If you can't get through to anyone at PDL Ventures, call Rocky Boy at 866-824-0893.

I recently took a loan about two weeks ago. A rep contacted me to verify information, whom was very helpful and professional. It sounded like the average call center in the background and sure enough, the money was in my account the next morning. When the date came to pay my loan back, i had called them 3 days earlier as stated at one of the numbers listed and received another friendly rep whom even post dated my loan at no extra charge when i told him that my check would not clear until that day! Smooth sailing....

After reading all these posts, i am still weary, but it may just be a very small business that has poor management and trust me i know. I work for a company ran just like that... SMFH...

You are dealing with an unlicensed company, I wouldn't count on receiving any money, but I am willing to bet they will be debiting your account real soon. Now that they have your account information it will never be safe, you would be better off closing out that account. Stay away from payday lenders, especially online, most of them are SCAMS!

That's very scary, have you ever obtained a payday loan from any Internet company, they share information. Please file a complaint with the FTC.

Same story as everyone else...call 8666689410 and press 5 account is delinquent, someone answers immediately. I had paid off the loan and they kept taking money out...the day before my payday and very odd amounts. I have since closed my account and they called me today and left a return number that no one answered. I told him that I was reading all of the scams and illegal transactions they are doing to others and that my account is closed. He wanted me to fax my statement. I told him I was no longer going to deal with this because they already took more than I owe. He then backed down and said they will close the account. I doubt this is the end but at least they won't get anymore money from me.

They called me and said that my former lender had turned me over to them for approval on a $300 loan. I have not had a previous lender so this was a red flag for me. I didn't fall for their junk and after reading these posts I was right. And their $90 processing fee is outrageous and I wouldn't trust them with my bank information.

This company operates on the rocky boy indian reservation in box elder mt. they do not need a banking license because this is a sovereign nation...meaning they can do what they want to. I do not know the physical address....but if one were to be in the North Central montana area and ventured up here someone could probably tell you where Rocky Boy Technologies is located====if you have a loan with these people...I'm sorry....most everyone here is extremely lazy, no matter how educated they are----if you happen to be one of their family members you will be fine, but otherwise be prepared for a battle of battles...get an attorney, but good luck finding one who will deal with tribal courts...again, it is a sovereign nation. On the BBB website there is a web address to the FBI which is the only place who can really help you with any company that leads back to RBT....sorry. I live here and know first hand the absolute LACK of customer service ability, LACK of any moral code whatsoever and the sheer laziness of these people is astounding!!!! Tried to get some paperwork from the college here that should have taken 1 day......it took 3 weeks of voice mails before anything happened...hey if you answer your phone that means you have to work right?? They'd rather be outside gossiping and smoking than working....at ANY business here----I sound quite mean, but I am completely honest---read this article in the Havre Daily News :http://www.havredailynews.com/articl...ines/world.txt in case that doesn't work here's the article"

The Chippewa Cree Tribe of Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation has started a new business in an effort to stimulate economic development. Dan Belcourt, attorney for the tribe, said during a conference call with the Havre Daily News Oct. 22 that last spring it entered the world of Internet loans with PDL Ventures, an online payday loan company. In the online loan process, people can fill out an application via the Internet, which includes supplying their bank account informat ion. I f approved, often in 24 hours or less, the loan is deposited in the bank account and the repayment — usually with a hefty fee — is withdrawn by the loan company on the applicant’s next pay day. What the Tribe says it didn’t know was that other online companies already were operating with the abbreviat i o n o f pay day loan in t h e i r n a m e . S eve r a l P D L Ventures are offering online loans and some of them don’t have the best record in customer service. Numerous complaints have been filed that have led to 119 complaints eventually being attributed to the Rocky Boy business by the Bet ter Business Bureau. Neil Rosette, the tribe's executive administrative officer, said during a conference call Oct. 23 that he believes most of the complaints were filed against businesses other than the Tribe’s — especially since their business has only been in operation for about six months, and some of the complaints were filed more than a year ago. Rosette said the Tribe will work to resolve any problems in customer service and is assigning a full-time position the responsibility of answering those complaints. The Bet ter Bus ines s Bureau reported Thursday that of new complaints forwarded since October some were answered but others remained unanswered. Rosette added that the fledgling business is still going through startup and growing pains. “We found some glitches, and we are fixing them as we speak,” he said. Part of that was a systems failure — Rosette said the computer server used by the company had crashed, and it took three weeks to get things running again. That crash also interrupted telephone service, he added. “We just got it running again,” Rosette said. None of the complaints received by the Bet ter Business Bureau were related to that server crash. He said the work processIng loan applications and providing customer service all is done at Rocky Boy. Other than leaving a voice mail Nov. 5 offering to submit a press release, Rosette has not returned calls asking for additional information made since the Oct. 23 conference call. During the Oct. 22 call, Belcourt and Rosette said specific information about the business was proprietary and could not be released to the press. Also during that call, Rosette said that focusing on the complaints seems to him to be taking the wrong approach. “It sounds like a negative thing when we, as a tribe, see it as a positive economic story,” he said. Rosette said that the business has done a large volume of loans and is putting the profits to good use on the reservation. Some of the money was used to give jobs to out-of-work youths on the reservation, and $90,000 is being invested in remodeling the upstairs of Northern Winz Casino on the reservation to be used as a call center, he said. He said the call center could be much more than just a place for PDL Ventures to operate. He said it could be a call center for a variety of businesses, such as for satellite television service. “Loans may not be what we settle on in the call center,” Belcourt said. Belcourt said that once that center is up and running, it could employ up to 100 people in the region, on and off Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation.

So far i have not had any problems- telephone # I use is 1-866-926-5055 e-mail is
customerservice@RBT.com. I received my loan and I knew I would have to pay a $90 fee> since it was my first loan they told me that I could not extend it but, that I could call back the next day and request an additional loan. Instead of using your checking account they use you debt card.
So far no problem and I spoke to a live person. I will keep you informed this week is the week they yake the money out and reissue the new loan.

I have followed your directions regarding dealing with illegal pdls. I live in SC and it is my understanding all internet pdl are illegal. Two of the companies operate out of DE and are claiming the following:

Eastside Lenders is a legal company. Because we are not in the state of South Caroline we do not go by their state laws. We are in Delaware and go by the Delaware state law. I will provide that to you below. Since you took out a loan with us that would be the law that you would have to go by. It would be the same as if you were going inside a store and getting a loan, you would go by whatever rules or laws that store goes by. We are willing to work with you and even setting up a payment arrangement if you would like.

EASTSIDE LENDERS LICENSE #8673

East Side Lenders is responding to your correspondence regarding the above-captioned account.

East Side Lenders, which is located in Delaware, is licensed by the State of Delaware to make small loans. All such loans are approved and funded in Delaware, with repayment to be made in Delaware. The East Side Lenders loan agreement and website contain all disclosures required by Delaware and federal law and make it clear that all transactions are governed by Delaware law. On the advice of counsel, East Side Lenders maintains that the choice of Delaware law as controlling in the loan documents would be upheld, as all of the significant contacts in the loan transaction occur in Delaware. The loan agreement is legal and enforceable. In responding to your correspondence, East Side Lenders notes and reserves all available legal and equitable objections to the points you have raised.

East Side Lenders provided this service as a convenience to you. We still consider your loan to be outstanding and are prepared to go to arbitration as provided for in the Loan Agreement between us. As an alternative, if you are experiencing financial hardship, we will be happy to speak to you about payment arrangements through which you can successfully meet your payment obligations. East Side Lenders will consider doing so because of our continuing commitment to servicing our customers and not because of a legal obligation to do so.

Does this mean I am still legally bond to pay them all the monies owed? I have already paid $300 in interest.

I appreciate the guidance you have given me and so far, I have been able to resolve 3 of my pdl on my own. This is a great site.
