Protocol Recovery Service - Know more about this collection agency

Protocol Recovery Service is based in Panama City, Florida and has a satellite in Atlanta, Georgia and a soon-to-be closed satellite in Pensacola, Florida. Outwardly, it's a good little agency. The office was small and ramshackle, the management staff consisted of two people. The Administration, Human Resources, Payroll, and Reception departments were all the responsibility of one woman.

On the surface, a good little agency. Some adherence to the fdcpa but not as much as there should be, and not as much as at CCA. It's third party collecting retail accounts, bank cards, Discover, Rehabilicare, and the dreaded payday loans.

After just a few weeks it became hell. The stupid preset goal goes up every month whether you're ready for it or not, and those who aren't reaching it become recipients of heckling, harassment, and ridicule from management. There was no "establishing trust and building rapport" it was always "make the demand and shut up"

I'm a good person, my collections experience was born in a strict FDCPA environment which was also positive and professional, and the focus was on helping the borrowers. At Protocol, the focus was on serving the client. I was told several times that my open-minded "student loan" aproach to the borrowers of payday loans was "corny".

Long story short (I'm sure you all know what happened) I don't work there anymore. I just couldn't take it anymore, not to mention that Protocol Pensacola is no more after March 24, ha-ha!

is cajun on the board 2day.

The fdcpa is not a security blanket for people who want to avoid debt stop using it that way.

The fact is if you didnt owe and you payed what you were supposed to you wouldnt get calls deal with the truth.

Cajun says he is digging Oil Wells please dude is a fat shut in watching Soaps and Judge Judy while gorging on Lunchables. The only wells dude is digging is in his bathroom when his fat arse gets off the couch.

Your hatred of bill collectors stems from one thing Cajun you are a thief who took money for a credit card or loan and now resents the people who want you to pay it back.

PAY YOUR BILLS LOSERS

Wow.

You come in here, pissing and crapping all over the place, turning over chairs and tables, and you do it all talking like a 4th grader that just downloaded Yahoo Messenger and can't wait to try out all those cool abbreviations. If you think I will believe a single word from your mouth, or even give a sh*t about the next thing you say, it won't happen. Do me a favor and use something relatively CLOSE to standard English. Otherwise, go away.

Debate is wanted. Hell - we encourage it. But coming in here with personal attacks will not be tolerated. You can either play nice or suffer my edit powers. It's your call.

And before you think it or say it - yeah, this is a land of free speech. But guess what - since this board is not supported by government dollars, it doesn't apply.

Anyone having a problem w/ collection agencies and do not owe the debt - had better check their Experian credit report. This company makes a LOT of mistakes & does not care who's report it is posted to....

PRS has been calling me! Unfortunately, I have the same name as some sleeze bag who doesn't pay their bills! Not only that...check this out: The deliquent bill is a Sears charge. I work for Sears!!!! I pay my bill, ask my boss.
Anyway, I've continually given them the last 4 digits of my SS, but today I refused since they called me yesterday. They denied it. Yeah, let's check my caller ID, huh? Yup...two days in a row. They said it's not harrassemnt since I won't verify my S.S.
This is bullshit! Get them off my back!

I would not want to be a bill collector but I think it's unfair that once you start paying one you get bounced to another after you've been making payments. My exwife of 6 years declared bankruptcy and I had to take out several loans to settle her debts. I was stupid enough to co-sign on several accounts and have been left holding the bag.
This is not the first time she has declared bankruptcy as the victim but since I value my job and credit score I have been forced into paying off "our" debts".
She made sure she ran up bills that were more than she and or we could pay and then skipped out with her brother. I guess that didn't work out either as they ended up moving from the home they purchased together.
Anyway, I would caution anyone who is thinking of cohabitating from signing any type of credit application.
BTW, I've been married and divorced 3 times and if I ever think about an LTR or MARRIAGE, my children, mother, and brother have been given my permission to have me committed.

You should realize that even if you're not married certain states consider you to be legally married if you share the same bed once or more. Whether it's a man or woman you should always have a pre-nup available and don't bed them until they've signed this document. Kind of complicates things but it's less expensive to get married than it is to get divorced! The main reason divorces are so expensive is that they're worth it!

Just found this long-running thread. Anyone knows if the guy named Robert Wilson still works for Protocol Recovery Service in Woodstock (formerly Marietta)? He called me twice a few years back, I was not the person he was looking for and told him so. No matter. He proceeded to spew threats and lies, said that I committed fraud, that he'd create "a lot of hardship" in my life and such (note my credit score is in high 700s).
I was quite surprised but later called back and invited Mr. Wilson to visit and repeat the treats and lies to my face. Hey, he started it, it's my right to respond as I see fit. Haven't heard from Protocol since! Other persons I learned about at the time were one Virginia Patton and one Mr. Bailey. Cowards all of them.

"Pay Your Bills" is an uneducated yokel and furthermore, a coward for not confronting me with his or her real name. I was not fired, I quit because I am an educated woman and I did better. I am a Support Technician for an e-mail security company. Protocol is a ghetto collection agency and it no longer exists in Pensacola. It got shut down three months after I started. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

as i was reading the above, i was appalled at some of the things that i read. at first it was very interesting and all of a sudden the name calling and accusations started. and what started it was not even relating to the subject. i felt the the employees of the company should not have written the things that they did and should have understood how the harrasment affect people and learned from it.

granny: they should not have written those things but apparently, name-calling and harrasment is about all they're good at. Of course, when they feel safe (like
doing it on the phone from hundreds of miles away:
their day jobs). When challenged to put their money where their mouth is, they predictably fade into oblivion.

Hey Simonsays. If some one is calling you a "jerk-off" then 9 times out of 10 you probably are a professional JERK-OFF!

Simonsays: owned by professionals? Professional liars and crooks, maybe. Still waiting to hear back from that cowardly "Robert Wilson", by the way.
