I also have lvnv funding llc on my credit report but mine doesn't have a address or phone number. Who can I can to figure out what it is about?

hi schaffer, welcome to the forums

I am hoping that LVNV put more info on your credit report than just their name. Is there any other info that might give clues about the debt in question? Do the dates match up to any account you can think of that you have had in the past? Is there any sort of account number?

There are a lot of people here that have had to deal with LVNV and I dont think that one single one of them had a positive experience....I went on the bud hibbs website and found this address for you:

15 S. Main Street, Suite
#900 Greenville, SC 29601

I would not under any circumstances recommend calling these people on the phone. Thats just asking to get abused. They have one of the worst reputations in the debt collection world, and that's basically like trying to find the hottest flame in Hell, if you know what I mean.

I would send them a letter, by certified mail return receipt requested, requesting validation of the debt listed on your credit report. Provide them with your name and the account number listed for that account on your credit report. Do NOT give them any other information like your SSN or banking info. If you need a template for a good validation letter, you can find one in the do-it-yourself section...the link is up at the top of the page. Here's the thing...dealing with a company like LVNV means you have to know your rights better than they do and you have to excercise those rights because this company seems to make it their mission to deceive you at every turn. For example, it is illegal for them to continue reporting on your credit report once you send them a validation request--that is, until they get the validation to you. LVNV isnt known for providing it. The law states that once you demand validation, they cannot take ANY collection activity on that debt until they provide the validation to you. So, if they dont respond, then you can take action against them.
