Stephens and Michaels Associates – Has anyone got a call from them?

These people made an agreement to not withdraw the 2nd payment from my account until I call back in 2 weeks and at that time I would be given another conf#. I check my bank account on that 2 week date and the money has been already requested so I call to get the conf# and I'm told they have changed their system and I don't get and don't need that #. I was told a confermation number is useless. I told both supervisors if anyone tries to tell me that I didn't settle this account because I don't have proof of a conf #, I WILL SUE!!!!!!!!

The amount of time & energy you spent dodging "admitted debt" could be better served by paying what you agreed to pay in the first place. Are you suggesting your signature has no value?

well humanoid since this place buys junk debt they have no signature.now if you spent less time with stupid rants you might be more than just our typical humanoid,but alas you are not.now back to the phones drone.

I got many telephone calls on my cell from this firm. Some of the calls resulted in no message left; but, recently they identified the debt party. I telephoned them back and informed them that I was not the party they were seeking. The Collector asked for my telephone number and apologized and informed me that their files would be updated and I won't be hearing from them any further.

They were actually calling my mom for someone with the same last name, but that was it. My mom never heard of the person before but they kept calling even after she told them that. We reported them to the FTC and the AG. All calls to her from them for now on will be recorded and documented.

How about you pay your bills before they get sold into collections and stop being a deadbeat.:)

I am sitting in a prison right now the sheriff arrested me for not paying my bill pay or go to jail

i used my credit card on a adult site and my bank called me and told me that a stephens and Michaels was used by my card not good:mad:

It is amazing to me, that you are so proud to be employed but a company with morals and intregrity so poor. When your company is informed by a consumer has retained an attorney for debt- then by God your company should follow the state laws set forth, and deal with only the attorney. When your company is asked to provide the mailing address - do not give such poor excuses such as "i cannot provide that to you without an account number".

This company has broken so many laws- in just my experience- that I am counting the days until we meet in court. I do pursue all violations- so a nice sum of $$ is coming my way thanks to Stephens and Associates violations they continue to make. So thank you!!

I too got a call from them... I was at work and unable to answer ... when I was able to check the voicemail, they said that they are calling about a debt I owe... but I know I do not have any outstanding debts.... after reading so many people having so many problems with this company... I will not answer a call from that number in the future... they are probably trying to call for a dead person with the same name as me.... SMH!! they are as much bottom feeders as insurance claims people.
