Valentine and Kebartas Collecting for Dell
Date: Mon, 04/02/2012 - 20:11
I have a debt with Dell now being collected by Valentine and Kebartas. I lost my job and fell behind in my payments, so I was calling Dell about every 2 months and setting up auto payments, 2 payments at a time, but this was never enough to catch up the past due amount. So, now they have sent it to Valentine and Kebartas to collect.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with V&K as far as payment plans they will accept, or not accept. I really just want to pay my debt. I'm back to work now full-time and working hard to get back on track. All my other debts are in a DMP with Credability (CCCS), but V&K has not accepted a payment plan from Credability as of yet, although a payment was just sent to V&K from my DMP. It's strange, they're not ringing the phone off the hook like I would expect.
Any insight into what V&K is like to deal with would be appreciated. Wondering if I should brace myself to be sued.
Thanks so much for your help!

I don't have any personal experience in dealing with V&K. I recommend that you keep constantly communicating with your DMP company and keep an eye on the account. Keep asking the DMP people about the status of the account, if they are being able to successfully negotiate with them and how much of the balance has been paid off. In case you feel that the DMP is not doing an effective job, I suggest you take matters into your own hand and try negotiating with them yourself.
