Newburgh, NY 12551

Dear CB/HV,

I regret having to write to you about an unpleasant experience I've had with your company. I prefer to contact a company only in praise of an employee or the company's actions. Unfortunately, my situation is such that it is necessary for me to forward a complaint to you.

On October 17th I contacted your company in regards to a letter I received about case number (0527622722). This bill is from a company that has been out of business since 2003 and did not apply billing to my insurance properly for resolution of funds. I have had to resolve this issue with previous debt collectors. This unfortunately keeps getting purchased from new companies like your self while the previous company has not closed it out as requested by myself. I spoke to a very rude and combative lady who all but called me a liar when trying to explain and retrieve information from her. She did not give me her name for my documentation. I'm sure you'll find it in your system.

I then waited a week and called back on October 24, and spoke to Mr. Jeff Burt who explained the account had been closed out after my initial call. For my records I requested a letter from your agency to validate the information I was verbally being given. To which Mr. Burt replied your company does not do that to just disregard the letter.

Well, having disregarded this before because I assumed it was handled. Certainly does not help when it resurfaces years down the road with a new collector. If your company can send a letter requesting payment on behalf of your client, then your company can certainly send a letter admitting error.

So I am requesting in writing that a letter be mailed on your company's behalf stating that this account has been closed and the reason's found for closing it. More importantly that it will not reflect on my credit report as stated by Mr. Jeff Burt on October 24th, 2005.

I look forward to hearing from you. I hope you can respond within 30 days, so that we are able to resolve this problem in a speedy fashion.

Sincerely,

Michael Roth

I am writing this in regards to a very unpleasant phone call with your company. Today, I received a collection notice from your company. When I called, I was transferred to Mr. Bill Jordan. Once Mr. Jordan answered I asked him to simply explain the collection notice to me. Not once did he offer me an explanation even though I was disputing the notice. With a very pissy attitude he asked if I was paying it or not. When I said no, he didn't allow me to explain my situation. He abruptly said "Ok, I'll tell them you're not going to pay and keep this in collections." CLICK!!!! Are your serious??? Did he really just hang up on me?? He did. Let me just say Mr. Bill Jordan, you don't deserve to have your job. If there was anything I could do, you would be fired! From reading the other posts, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what kind of company this really is. Classless!

Please contact CB/HV at the mailing address given at the top of this page.

This is one of the pages of debt consolidation Care open for consumers' feedback about the company you mentioned. This is not the actual company that you are referring to.

Ok Some of the associates or so call collectors need to treat people better.I call this happy man pick up the phone dadada basacally said: what do you want? I told him I want to pay my account or make payments, for some reason he thought that he was important or that he in a high class and got pushy, so I mention I want to make a payment then he finally slow down.He said that I have to pay the whole amount Im like yeah right who do you kidding? So he tranfer me to another associates and she sounded like she was drunk or had it hang over. I thought she was crazy speaking 3 languages at the same time. I think they not busy enough and they be sleeping in their desk. The think that by being pushy and try to act like we criminals or the lowest in the Human Society because we own money the try to make you feel like we should be guilty or sad about it(is all a act) bunch of acters. Anyway she say that I can make two payments of 85 dollars Im like maybe 25 dollars then she pull me on hold and hang up the phone.I think she had little to much to drink and had to go to the bathroom and had to discharge somewhat out of her mouth. The point is don,t be pushy and pay attention and get yoursefl together. Now I have to call again. Its a medical bill they should of got another Agency collector instead of this cheap, unprofesionals actors.

I received a collection notice in my name that should have been in my wife's name. When the belligerent rep I spoke to said she didn't like my tone and was hanging up on my I asked to speck to her supervisor.

I thought maybe I could talk sense to him. I was wrong. When i explained that this was not MY bill and that I will take the proper steps to see the bill was put in my wife's name he told me, "If you know what's good for you you will just pay the bill." And, "I hope when you do get it settled you call me back and rub it in my face because it isn't going to happen". Then he hung up on me.

I have filed a complaint with the NY Consumer Protection Agency under your license number 0905924 and am also filing a complaint with Orange County and the city of Newburgh.

This company has the most rude and unprofessional employees and management I have ever had to talk to.

Case #091040357.
