Just a little something for
all of you ignorant, poor grammared, and whiny people. First of all,
someone has to get irresponsible people to at least attempt to pay the
bills they are responsible for. Nobody ever said it would be an easy,
polite, or even a morally rich job. But somebody has to do it. In order
to at least attempt to keep service fees reasonable for honest consumers
it must be done. Think about it. Unfortunately there are alot of
dishonest people out there who believe that just because they are no
longer using a service that they are not responsible to pay their dues.
But that is where we step in. It is very unfortunate that one of the
negative effects is that on occasion innocent people with poor attitudes
suffer a minor inconvenience from time to time. The fact of the matter
is, that the average bill collector is just trying to make a living and
support their family by doing a dirty, mentally abusive job day in and
day out. I personally apologize to any honestly innocent individuals
that are being called and bothered in error. But again, without us you
will as a consumer have to pay out of your own pocket for the thousands
of people we pressure to pay their bills. If you are honestly recieving
phone calls or letters for someone you either do not know, or does not
live with you, then i would honestly recommend as a collector that you
simply call us and politely notify us of that. And again, if you feel
you have been bothered or harassed by us I apologize, it is not our
intent. Making contact with wrong parties does not add to that so called
"fat commission check", that we deserve for the daily abuse we take in
order to not only feed our families but to benefit the honest consumer.
P.S. If you think that you are not going to pay, or at least deal with
the debt that you accrued, then i will be talking to you real soon.
Thank you for calling and have a NICE day.

Your attempt to collect a debt has become very bothersome to me and my
family. I have explained the issue to your firm several times, yet your
firm is determined to get its pleasure from these daily phone calls day
after day. For example, I told Brian one day that your firm already
have my explanation, so please leave me alone and do not call anymore.
He responded sarcastically; ???????Oh! But we will???????.
Your attempt to collect is legal, but when it becomes troublesome to me
and my family after you????????ve been told to stop bothering, then it
is harassment.
Perhaps I should tell you that I had AT&T Wireless Service for many
years until it merged with Cingular. Cingular charged me for Premium
Text Messages that I did not authorize nor did I subscribe to that
feature. I tried to get these monthly charges off my bill, but Cingular
DOES NOT know who sent these messages. I tried to get help from
AT&T and they referred me back to Cingular personnel. So, I
unsubscribed from the Cingular-AT&T Wireless Service.
I WILL NOT PAY A PENNY FOR THE DEBT YOU ARE TRYING TO COLLECT.
Therefore, Enough is Enough! Upon your receipt of this registered
letter(by mail), you and your firm will immediately stop any mean of
contacting me and my family via phone, mail, email, or any other form of
harassment.

This company out of the blue
calls and says I owe for a cingular bill for my daughter's cell phone.
My daughter lived in a completely different state and they have been
calling me about this so-called phone bill. Cingular would not continue
to have my daughters cell phone working if we owed money. Cingular has
never told her she owes money, This is a scam!!!!

This is a scam, I don't know
why cingular would not have reported this so called debt I owe. The
phone has never been cut off and cingular phone bills are paid every
month, no past due noted. Obviously someone got a hold of our account
information and is fraudulantly trying to get money from us. This phone
was transferred from one state to another and there was never a mention
of a single past due amount. This is a fraudulant claim. Employees of
BCR are not responsible for what their illegal employers are doing, I
just hope they quit as soon as they can find other legal
employment.

Is there anyone with any other
suggestions to get BCR to stop calling me. They are looking for my
Father-in-law, and no matter how many times I tell them he is not here
and I have no idea where he is they continue to call. Finall today I
decided to start asking for names and phone numbers to get a list
together for my lawyers (I love Pre-Paied Legal). And I called the
number back like the person who posted in Sept. with his helpful hints
and I reached a Doug Smith of Sports Destination Network's voice mail. I
should have known it was a scam when a man with a middle eastern accent
called himself Mike.

I began receiving calls from
BCR on Oct. 3. I checked out their company, and found the website to be
rather vague.
www[dot]bureauofcollection[dot]com/index.htm
I found your site, took some tips, and when they called again, I asked
if I could record the call, and was told I could not. So I disconnected.
It was about a Cingular phone bill. Since I know I paid off Cingular a
year ago, I know the charges are false. The three operators with whom my
daughter and I spoke were also rude.
The numbers I have been getting are 619-374-0125 with a call back number
of 800-831-7211. However, I did not try either numbers, and neither
number is available in any directory.
I have been advised to contact the FBI to let them
know.

They have called me at least 3
times a day for about 8 months. I made payment arrangements, they told
me that 10% of the debt had to be paid to stop the calls. I paid 10%,
then another guy calls and says I need to pay 10% of the ENTIRE DEBT
(which I don't even owe anymore)each month! They're crazy and rude to
boot!
