I have been having these annoying calls from BCR for months now asking for someone who has never lived here. I have told them repeatedly they have the wrong number. The annoyance hotline told me to get their billing address and write them to tell them to stop. So I asked for the address when they called next and they gave me an 800 number to call to get the info. The 800 number told me to call a 900 number as the 800 has changed. ?????? Is this a scam? How has anyone got these STUPID people to stop hassassing them?

i actually worked for this company and i have to tell you that all the accounts that are placed in the office are from that client so if you have a problem with the validity of the debt you do need to take it up with the, cingular, at&t wireless or whoever sent you to collections.
now if you want the calls to stop all you need to do is put it in writing and mail that to the company and accoring to the F.D.C.P.A they have to stop calling you. i do want to let you know that doing that will not solve anything all it will do is make the current collection agency close your account in there office and it will be placed with a new agency
so the best thing to do is to take up your issue with the client

I was getting several messages left on my machine from this company as well. I just called them today to see what it was about, because I know I don't have bills out there. It ended up being for somebody I've never heard of and they said my number would be removed. We'll see if they call back after that.

My mom happened to answer the phone tonight when they called. There was an oriental lady on the other end that waited forever to say something. They asked for me by name, but my mom told her that I wasn't here. She then asked if there was another number she could reach me at, but my mom said no, that I lived here but wasn't here right now. I wished she hadn't confirmed my residence because they are probably going to keep calling me. I just told her tonight, after reading this, not to answer it again.

I totally disagree with Ex- BCR employee.I wasnt even informed of who the company was until the 3rd odd trick they pulled. First they called and asked for me on behave of Cingular wireless to pay an old bill. A service I NEVER HAD. When I tried to explain they have the wrong person that I never used Cingular. they then wanted me to give them my SS# , Well that wasnt going to happen.

I asked them nicely to stop calling and they just continue to call right after 8am on weekends and anytime week nights ,( Im not here during the daytime )

I just hang up now when they call .So then they started sitting in the background until I said hello a couple of times before they asnwer.

And now I finally found out who they are with a machine that ask me to call them at their 1 888 number.

There is no reasoning or talking to these people and I hope they spend a million dollars trying to collect from me. They can call till im dead from old age.they will get nothing.

The only thing I cant understand is that how they stay in business so long breaking the laws and why the government on the state or federal level hasn't got involved.

The only you thing people deserve is the abuse you receive. As I have stated before ,Im not the person whom you are looking for and if you feel the need to call I'll be more then happy to levy the abuse you so surely deserve. Enjoy

I, too, have been getting telephone calls from B.C.R. for someone who I have never even heard of. I'm thinking about changing my phone number so I don't have to keep getting these annoying calls.

Send them a letter telling them to stop calling you, and if they are playing by the rules, they will stop calling you.
