Introducton Time - Do you know me?

Hi I am new to this forum. I have made a horrible mistake of taking out a payday loan and then ending up in the hospital and not having the income in my bank to cover the loan at payment time - so what did I do? Yep, I took out another loan to pay that loan. I did so well paying off the loan that I then started to receive about 5-10 offers a day for more loans. Now I am drowning in debt and medical bills. They payday loan people are rude, harrassing and will not agree to a payment plan to settle the matter. How can I get them to legally bug off and to work with me on getting these debt paid on a payment plan? Is this possible? I want to pay them but do not have the lump sum of cash due to my medical bills. Any advice.
I am 48 years old and should have known better.

Hi. I'm new and been reading alot of topics. I let myself get suckered into payday loans and now i can't make it week by week. I guess what I'm wondering is I can pay off these loans one by one if I didn't have so much coming out of my checking account weekly. Would it hurt me to close my account and then send these payday loan companies payoff? I don't know what else to do. Or should I leave that account open and open another and just let the bank keep denying these withdrawals? Any suggestions is very welcome. Thanks

Are these internet or storefront pdls and what state are you in? You will be better off to stop your direct deposit ASAP! Then close that old account and open a new one AT A NEW BANK. This is the first step in taking back control.

Hi, I never did introduce myself. I joined in January of this year and I wish I had found this site a few years ago. But everything is going great now and I'm here to try and help in any way I can.

I am a regulatory analyst for the National Association of Securites Dealers. We are a self-regulatory organization that works with the SEC and all the states in regulating all the stock brokers in the country, over 600,000 and also all the brokerage firms in the nation. The area I work in deals with the registered agents that have any kind of disciplinary or what we call disclosure history. Customer complaint, arbitrations, judgments, bankruptcies, disciplinary actions taken by the states, SEC, stock exchanges, NASD, criminal charges, etc. against the agents.

I reviews these records, and using federal and our own guidelines determine whether an agent should be allowed to work in the industry. For instance if a agent has had a felony conviction within 10 years they are what we call statutorily disqualified. I review a lot of court documents each day and research charges, statutes, call the courts and district attorney's offices if necessary. I have been working here for over 10 years and really like the job.

That is so nice ramj70. I am glad you are here. There are so many diverse backgrounds here...I just get goosebumps to be a part of this site,forum, family. I know in my heart it was not an accident that I am here, and even going through this Pdl nightmare that I help create tells me it is all for a reason.
