I have never had nor currently have any credit cards (revolving account). In the past, I have had late payments on a car loan (installment account) that I have since paid in full. I continue to have one judgment against me for less than $1,000. Experian gives a credit score of 584 yet the bank reports there is no score. Is that possible that potential borrowers see no credit score upon making an inquiry?

Thanks. That might explain the dissonance.

On an Experian credit report secured from freecreditreport.com, it indicates an "Experian PLUS Score." No menton of FAKO. Yet, on the report generated by Kroll Factual Data for our local bank where I submitted a mortgage pre-approval application, the credit score box was 'N/A.'

Since being denied the pre-approval, I have tried securing a retail store consumer credit card - denied and a credit card for individuals with bad credit via online - also denied. I was wondering whether this was due to the very low score or whether they were seeing no score at all. It might be no score at all since I have no consumer credit history but for the auto loan and what I suspect ruined my credit is chronically late payments.

Thank you for the distinction.
