I have a collections on my credit report. This was very stupid of me but I wasn't very financially responsible at this time.

It was in the amount of $47.00 to BMG Music Service and the collection was from Torres Crdit. I had paid for this at the time. Is there any way that I can get this taken off of my credit report. It is killing my report for only a $47.00 collection. Thank you for your time.

If the debt is legitimate, then the debt collector is entitled to report their collection to the CRA as of the date they were referred the collection.
Disputes are directed to the inaccurate or incomplete reporting of information to a consumer's credit file. If there is no inaccuracy, then there is no grounds for a dispute.

Try disputing it as a duplicate listing. I had an old account that had been assigned to a CA. The CA reported it and I asked for validation but never heard back from them. They left the derog on my CR and I disputed it as a duplicate listing of the original account, which was older and still showed. It was deleted.

Collections and OC account reportings are not duplicates.
I dont see that as a legitimate grounds for dispute of reporting by a debt collector. Doing that may decrease your chances of getting the CA deleted by way of a good-will request.
I would pursue a legtitmate request for GW deletion.
