Has anyone ever heard of Personal Credit Services based out of New York?

Personal Credit Services, Inc.
321 Dante Court (Suite #A1)
Hollbrool, NY 11741
631.930.6422 and 800 #

The same information I received as listed in a prior reply.

I am so thankful to ALL of you who took the time to chat about PCS, Inc. As per the credit industry, my score is considered poor. I too am desperate for a loan and thought PCS, Inc. would be a great way for me to ease my financial crisis. But before I sent them money, I thought I would do some research. I have now decided that it would be to my best interest not to go through with this process. It's amazing how I have gotten more information here than from USCC, BBB and PCS, Inc. combined. It's back to the drawing baord for me. I hope that my reply helps another as all of your replies have helped me.

You all are Angels.....Thank you!

I was considering using this company also. I have been taken and foud this sight. All of your information made me do more extensive research. I found the owner to be james shovak who has had several court cases relating to debt himself. All of this information is public record and available to anyone.

I was also scammed with my $500. I have not recieved a loan and instead of sending my money back they sent me even more companies to apply with. This is also ruining my not so great credit even worse. This company is a scam.

So what happened after you paid the $125? Did you get a loan? What was the rate of interest and were you satisfied?

I submitted an application because I am in a tough situation but I did not submit the fee. I am glad I did not get scamed out of money but the app does ask for social and address. Has anyone had any identity theft issues or is the main scam only taking the money from the customer. I hope the situation works out for everyone.

I am so glad that I found this forum, if not I would have been tricked into sending this fake company money. I wish there was some way to warn the world about this company. I feel sorry for the people who actually fell for the trick. you are right if you cannot talk to a live person that probably means the company is not alive as well. Thanks for everyone's imput and honesty.

I wanted to use personal credit services also but I wasn't sure if I should pay the fee because all you get back is a list of banks that supposedley would give you a loan, then I went to ripoffreport.com and no one had anything good to say about the company. Did it work out for you?

Thank God, I found this site! I am desperate for a loan to save my new and floundering business. I was just about to send PCS $175 when I decided to google them. Maybe I won't stay open, but, at least I won't have the humiliation of being scammed...AGAIN!

I sent them the 100.00 that they asked for and they just sent me a list of lenders numbers and addresses and no names and then they tell you that the companies are not aware of them and they are not affiliated with them. I wasted 100 dollars of my hard earned money!! Stupid me.

Please check out the BBB, folks...Personal Credit Services is listed as an "advance fee broker" and received returned mail to their listed address in NY in Feb. 2007. Advance fee loans are ILLEGAL in the U.S. Keep in mind that people seeking this company's promised services are desperate people - that makes for primary targets. Be careful...and as a general rule, bad credit really limits your choices no matter what people or companies promise, you can only work with what you have. :)

hi,
i was wondering how come these loan people keep giving out money, and knowing the laws. i know that i have loans, but also i know that i don't owe what they say i owe. i have turned over to AG in nc. i have not heard anything from him since febaruary. he told me to keep calm and he would take care of it. the thing that i don't understand is how come they only call me at work. can any of these loans hurt my credit? i never heard anything when these people were taking funds from my account on a weekly basis. i feel differant about everything now, just because they have been so nasty. i feel that they sould know the laws, and if it illegal in a state, they should say that they can't loan to you. at the time of the loans, i didn't know that they were illegal. if i did i would have not gotten then loan, and delt with the financial hardship.

Hello everyone,

I would like to to thank each and everyone of you for telling your experiences (good or bad). I came across this company last night. But I was skeptical because they wanted money upfront and because there was no actual person for me to talk to other than emails. I had a friend you got ripped off by a company like this and she ended up losing a lot of money.

So again I thank you and if I happen to run into a legitimate company for personal loans I will be sure to come back to this site and post their information.

Good Luck

Simadown

You may visit your local bank and see if there is any help for you. They will be willing to help if your credit is decent. Be careful of the scammers. There are many companies who will charge something upfront with the assurance that money will be deposited into your account. You will never see that loan and anything you send towards their fees will be gone.

I've been looking at these people too, and I will say they do state that if you are not approved you WILL get your fee refunded.

I think it does bear further investigation however, should anyone decide to use them. I would be most interested in hearing from someone who has dealt with them, and whether or not they were successful....

Wow I just printed off the order by mail form and started saying to myself I wonder if I can find the company by buisness finder just to research them before I shelled out my money. I hear all of you saying how do you get out of debt when you have people taking your money. This company needs to be SHUT DOWN!!! Thanks to all that has posted you saved me the little money I have left.

I am in a really bad spot, I found this site and was very excited. Now after reading this I don't know what to do. I did try calling them, they have nobody to speak with they directed me back to the site to email a question. Is this just a big scam?

Erica - All you will get is a list of lenders that you can easily find your self doing a google search. Most of these lenders will not loan to people with bad credit. What this company does is put some payday loan companies on the list, that way they can say that you will be approved for a least one of the loans. It is a scam, I wouldn't recommend you sending them any money.

Hi, anyone in here advise me on what the fee is for upfront and if anyone has any feedback on this company I would love to hear about it.. I was just scammed by Madison Financial Group of almost $2000 and don't want to fall in that trap again. A loan advisor advised me that anyone that wants money upfront is a scammer and to walk away... Let me know anything!
Thanks,
Mike

The only place I can suggest is prosper.com. It's like ebay, where people will bid on lending you money. You aren't guaranteed a loan, only if enough people want to lend to you at the rate you want will you get the loan. Then you pay money to prosper each month and they will dispurse the payment.

I have just come across this page, and see that there was never a response as to whether the information on the loan companies or the actual loan took place. Please could you let me know how this worked out? I am thinking of using this company as well.

My husband have been looking for a company that will do a personal loan and went through the whole shabang with them and they asked us for $175 upfront. We have been seriously considering it.. they are licensed with the state of NY. I searched their business entity. Do any of you have any company recommendations?
