Who is Allied Interstate?

Among other things, they collect on student loans.

Send two letters:
A letter demanding validation of whatever debt they are attempting to collect.
A letter that permits them only to contact you through the mail.

Send each by certified mail.

allied interstate is one of the worst collection agencies. They will violate the federal and state laws more often and mostly collect on disputed debts. Be sure that you get the debt validated in writing before sending any money. Keep a track of their phone calls with date and time and the person you spoke with. Send a cease and desist letter along with the debt validation request and send it through certified mail, return receipt requested. You will come to know if they are doing legit collections. If they keep calling you, record their conversation after checking your state laws and file a legal case against them.

Sick of these people calling and calling all hours of the day from 724 209-6600. I answered one time and explained to them that there was no Paul at this number and the harrassment has continued

I have the same problem just because someone has the sme intial as mu husband they keep calling here and asking for him even though I told them there is no one of that name here

I have the same problem. At first they would call and I would answer, and the message would be please hold. Then a recording would come on speaking in a foreign language. I stopped answering the phone. Then one day my son answered the phone asking for some unknown person, so now I do not answer. Yes they call around 8 am and 3 pm like clock work. HOW DO YOU GET THEM TO STOP? Although the number is a toll free number. 800-452-5731

Im thinking about dealing with Allied Interstate.. I defaulted on a private loan thru sallie mae.. I was wondering besides the mulitible calls... Allied is a huge collection agency with offices all around the country. They are known for having untrained, inexperienced personnel. Follow the advice you have received here and you should see them move on to easier targets! If not get an attorney who will take your case on contingency! Those attorneys are out there more lately than before. Once you have representation they can no longer contact you! Also, multiple daily calls is a violation of the FDCPA and most state laws. Allied expects to be sued every now and then and will quickly settle with a law firm as the cost of doing business. Cash in on them not them on you!

I'm on the Do Not Call List so I just simply reported them after calling me so many times a day, early morning on weekends, late evening hours at on weekdays.
Calling Allied Interstate back did not work for me, I did talked to them twice already asking them to remove me from their list since they were looking for the wrong person and I don't owe anything to anybody...but they keep on calling..so this morning I filed a complaint to the Do Not Call Registry

Your should have read the Do not call Registry rules and exemptions. Collection Agencies are exempt from that list.

This place SUCKS...They keep calling my fiance's phone and my phone from a different # and I called them back and went off on them about keeping on calling both phones and went off a supervisor as well about whatever matter it was in response too,which they would not disclose the matter to me! ! !

They keep calling me and it is a recording that tells me to push 1 to get an agent. I push 1 and then I get a recording that all agents are busy, please leave my name and number and they will return my call. I leave my name and number and when they call back, the same thing happens again. This has gone on for months and I have not spoken with an actual person yet. I have no idea what they are calling about.

Unfortunately I have to deal with them so I setup a payment plan and the first payment didn't seem to go through my account so I called to make sure they got their money. According to the gal I spoke to said they received their money. So I check with my bank and it did not come out of my account. So I called the next day and someone got on the phone and I could not understand a word they were saying so I asked if there was someone else I can speak to, she hung up on me. So the honest person I am or they could have a HUGE law suit on their butts for withdrawing money out of someone else's account I'm trying to resolve it and when I called back apparently they can't seem to find my account...even after speaking to someone the night before. Seriously, what kind of company is this????
