JD Marketing Scam

I got a payday loan through some company that was a front for JD Marketing Group. This payday loan was not like any of the others that I did, as they do not let you know when they will be taking money out of your checking account. Any other payday loan that I did, I would receive an email that asked if I wanted to pay in full or refinance. But JD Marketing doesn't send out any notices, they just take their finance charge out and refinance your loan with no notification. Is that legal? I tried to find some kind of correspondence from when I first received the loan, but I couldn't find anything. I don't know if they didn't send it, or if I deleted it though. I tried to call and see if they could help me out by counting the money that I already paid towards the loan amount, but he refused to do so. So know I don't know what to do. Do I have any legal leg to stand on here?

It is a general rule that all legitimate companies put their terms and conditions in writing before doing business with the consumers. This will help everyone know about their smooth functioning of business. I wonder why this company didn't put anything in writing to you (unless you have deleted the email).

I also get suspicious when you asked them about your payments and the person didn't help you out. Send this request in writing so that you can prove their unfair activities when they don't respond you. Yes, you have a legal stand out there and you can take some advice of a debt counselor or a professional lawyer. Try the debt counseling first if it helps you completely.

Search JD Marketing in the forum..There is a post from me that I contacted them and told them to quit charging me as I'd overpaid, and they did. They also sent me a Paid in Full letter.

They're actually pretty easy to work with.

I also had a loan with JD Marketing and after I applied and the funds were sent to my account I received a copy of my loan docs in the mail. They stated that the loan will continue to refinance until I called to make other arrangements. When I blocked payment on them they didn't call and harrass me because I sent them a letter explaining what was going on. Like Jessi said, they are pretty easy to deal with.

I did not pay my loan back so I got a call from this company and this person called petter hens he did not sound like he is from the united states. He said that I would be facing legal actions so I sent them 325 dollars by western union and now they are calling me agian stating that I will be going to jail for internet fraud but I did not give them any wrong information. All my other payday loans they are willing to work with you this one states that I will go to jail if I do not pay. Is this legal? I have paid them so I do not know what to do? They state that they have not recieved anything. Does this phone number sound familier 19143756859. I dont think that I have commited fraud. So what do I do? They stated that as of today I owe 895 but I allready paid them. What do I do?

Nittsy,

Do you have your western union receipt showing where you wired the money? I'm not sure who the phone number is but JD Marketing is based out of Las Vegas. I never had any problems dealing with them, they even issued me a refund on what I over paid them. I would check with your state's division of financial institutions to see if they are even licensed in your state to loan money. Many internet lenders are not so this could help you. They cannot send you to debtors prison or prison over this matter, that is a false statement. Keep your phone calls documented with them. Also, I would contact your state's attorney general's office to file a complaint against them if the problem persists.

I have had three loans with them, and I have never had any problems with them. They are clear as to the process of refinancing, paying down, and paying off. While I do admit that their fees are pretty exhorbitant, you have to remember that it is only a short term loan and wasnt meant to be refinanced long term.

You need to read all documents and information when appling for a loan on line and JD Marketing confirms in conversations with customers that you have read them. So don't complain if you have not read them and state so.
When you take a loan from JD Marketing.
You have 2 options to pay off the loan.
One option is a paydown where you pay $50 along with the finance fee for the amount you financed. And when you pay this amount it lowers your balance by $50 and it decreases your finance fee by $15.
The Second option is to pay out the balance and the finance fee.
If you don't contact JD 3 days to do the pay off or pay out option they automatically refinance your loan for the finance fees.
All this is explained in the documents customer signs electronically on-line.
If you don't understand what you are doing on line maybe you should stop filling out applications on various websites.
JD Marketing phone number is 866-722-2136 and their fax is 866-722-2137. They have an answering machine and return all calls the following day as long as you leave your name and number.
They have helped out several customers and are not a scam. It is unfortunate that some people go on line and process applications and do not understand the terms.
No where in their terms does it say you will get a notice. It is the responsibility of the consumer to be aware of these things when taking out a loan on line. Shame on you if you don't read before submitting!!!!! :(

I have used this company on 3 occasions. I have never had a problem with them. They will always refinance the loan unless you call them. They also send you notices via email. I am not sure why so many of you are having problems. Is there any one out there that has had a good experience instead of a bad one?

also the loan I stopped payments because I had already overpaid them and I did not have any phone number to call them.

Carmen the manager of jd marketing is very rude, crude, and i would recommend to all who read this to steer clear of jd marketing. She lied bout trying to call my employer(she said the phone number didn't work on friday) and then said she had to *82 her number and the number just rang and rang. Then she told me "You have given me nothing but lip and i am denying your application."

Very rude people who run it.

They are not legit if they are telling you u are going to jail. You can't go to jail over a payday loan over the internet. They are just trying to scare you into paying. Plus, there is no fraud involved its there fault they should of not lend any cash without checking out everything. So if they give you a loan then its on there hands. But no fraud they have on you & plus they aint gonna do nothing no way as to it cost them more money to do.

I had a loan with them and they had some guy calling and threatening me that I would go to jail and a police officer was on his way to my home to take me to jail. He used two fake names and he did not sound like he was in the united states. I called the police and reported them and the police said they don't arrest people for these kind of things. This companies tatics are questionable at best. Do not use this scam company.

Does anyone know the fax number to JD Marketing.

I have brought a claim against JD Marketing Group due to the fact that they have placed a debt of $480 on my credit report as a collection that I have previously been released from. I obtained a payday loan through this company through direct deposit and was to have funds withdrawn for payback of the loan purposes on my indicated employer payday withdrawal dates. However, JD Marketing took out funds prior to the agreed upon date/day on several occasions which caused over draft fees from my account and other small items that would have went through on my bank account to be returned as well. I spoke with a manger regarding this situation two years ago, I faxed over all paper work relating to this incident and he informed me that I would be released from this debt. Now it's two years later and this is appearing on my credit file. Amount claimed: $480 for loan.

If you can, steer clear of ALL payday loan companies. They are ripoffs. They charge exhorbitant fees. Go borrow the money from a friend. You are better off. If you keep becoming involved with these payday loan companies, trust me, it will become a vicious cycle. You will have to change your bank account to secure your funds. They will STEAL from you. So, be careful. You are definitely on the correct site. This site armed me with so much information that was correct. That was the only was I got my life back from pdloans.

Lastly, many of these companies are operating illegally and in most states, they can only collect the principal of the loan. Keep researching on this site. If it were not for debt consolidate care, I would not know what I know about pdloan companies. If you can, try not to apply for any more loans. Hunker down and do a budget, it will get better.

The number is right. You can not get in trouble for not paying a online loan back. The way they do business is so wrong. You borrowed because you had no money and now they keep charging your account. They are a ripp off. I contacted my accounty generals office and spoke top them about this, cause I had some payday loans. They advise me to close my account or they will continue to deduct my money.

sick of having $90 taken out every other week, and they never gave me the "3-day fax if you don't want to re-finance" until it was too late. My balance was $390. They received WAY more than that! I just got the e-mail from "Matt"....
