Does anyone have an email address for Credit Protection Depot Inc? I had a payday loan through discountadvances.com, Credit Protection Depot Inc is who performed the debits from my checking account. I have sent a Refund Request letter to Discount Advances fax number, but cannot get any response from them and of course I can't find any other contact information on them. I do know that Credit Protection Depot Inc is affiliated with them as I called them at 866-645-1661 and they confirmed that they are affiliated with Discount Advances. I am just looking for any additional contact information that I can get. Thanks!

they debited my acct today for well over what the loan amount was for and claimed i owed an additional amount well over the loan amount as well to be debited on oct 8th.... i have recorded their conversation and am filing a complaint to the FTC, these people cannot be reasoned with...as a collector for a telecommunications company... i am most offended.

My Cash Now is unregistered and not licensed to do business in California. http://www.corp.ca.gov/pub/pdf/0709CDDTLBulletin.pdf CPD is doing business illegally in Nevada. I got my loan from Pay Day Max. Went to pay it back and it was transferred to CPD. I will pay my loan (afterall, I did borrow the $) but I will not pay a company doing business illegally. There's no guarantee of ever paying them in full.

The woman with whom I spoke was CRAZY. She seriously asked me to send her a Western Union for $280 (only later, she forgot and said $240). When I said this didn't sound very legitimate or legal to me, and that I would prefer to make my payment in a way that was traceable/refundable i.e. credit card or check, she said "oh, you can just send it," and then seriously told me that the only information I needed to put on it were: CPD-Offer ... Recieve Code 4243.... Las Vegas, NV...

What a joke!

The best thing to do from our experience is close your bank account and reopen it. That STOPS them from auto drafting out of the ACH info they have. They can threaten all they want to but they have to be viable to even start a collection action in - let alone OUR Country - and let alone in YOUR County you reside in for further possible legal actions. If they harrass you at work - have anyone answering the phone that you know to say - you died. Goodbye.

ok... so trust me, normally I wouldn't be posting about a debt collection company... BUT in light of recent news and what not, I'd figured I'd pipe in. so not that I'm proud of it, but yes, I did get a payday loan and they can be a hassle sometimes, I called payday max when I was not going to be able to pay and they gave me the phone # for credit protection depot, who would take care of making arrangements with me. I told them I had gotten harrassing phone calls, threatening to take me to jail in like five minutes. the rep immediately told me about a scam that is going on that happen to involve foreign call centers calling on debt that doesn't exist and what not, violating practically everything in the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) - yes...even those in debt have rights, too. what paydaymax suggested and cpd was that if I receive a call like that, to hang up and call the lender myself to validate the debt. I did have to send it in via a wire payment, which I was nervous about... but paydaymax received the wire I sent to cpd... of course now, they can actually take debit/credit card payments so even if my bank account is not being debited directly, I at least can keep track of the payment and have an official record which is really nice.... anyways... to each his own, I say if you receive a nasty call, just call the lender directly and sort it out, you'll probably be surprised.

i don't recommend your course at all.especially since CPD is located in vancouver BC,and paydaymax, and mycashnow are not only offshore, but affiliated.the reason for your post is to lie.yours is the only one in the last three pages to trumpet this bottomfeeder triad.btw that's what they are as cpd handles all of mycashnow, and paydaymax's default loans.nice try,but back to the phones drone.

Do like what others have done, close you account and open another one That is the only way to stop these crooks and their scam. Do it asap, I did and it felt so good to beat them at their game. Trust me on this one. If you are out of state would try and file a complaint with the Mo. Attorney generals office that would help support their case against PDM.
Good Luck

Do yourself a favor and do ANYTHING but get involved with payday loans...these so -called lenders are nothing but blood sucking leeches who want to grab all your hard earned money...If you were taken in CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT...WITHDRAW ACH...FILE WITH ALL LEGAL AGENCIES,,,,state attny general, ftc , etc....and seek all the help you need to get them off your back..
