I did eat since I had to cook. I am thinking bed should be good now.

ummmm...well, after I got home had chicken noodle soup, just woke up from nap and I think it might be more soup tonight....and crackers.

Well, for me tonight, it was Red Lobster. My husband's birthday is tomorrow, so we went out to celebrate it tonight because I have to work late tomorrow. I had the pick two shrimp thingy. I had popcorn shrimp, coconut shrimp, and a baked potato. My husband had the seafood platter with scallops, shrimp, and crabcakes. Yummo!

Are you serious!??? My husband did the EXACT same thing...last year on his birthday, in fact. This is so funny! We have a friend who is a chef and he wanted to cook dinner for my husband's birthday last year. So, he made pork chops, mashed potatoes, greenbeans, corn...AND Boston cream pie cake (That was sinful!) He did it as a birthday gift, and had it in his head that my husband LOVED pork chops. I though my husband loved them, too, until that night when he got home and told me "you know, pork chops aren't really my favorite, but I didn't want to hurt XXX feelings!" I WAS FLOORED! We have been together for 12 years (married for 7) and I just learned last year that he doesn't like pork! Needless to say, if I have a pork chop, my husband has some other kind of meat!

Thanks about the weight loss. I am really going to try. I have put on quite a bit of weight over the past 7 years (30 lbs to be exact), and I really hope to take it off. I used to run and teach aerobics, so it was easy. NOW I just sit on my butt at a desk, so you can only imagine my spread!!! :-)LOL!

Not really, Volly. He will deal with it, but it isn't his favorite. Go figure! Something's wrong with him. :-) Mostly, when we go to bbq restaurants, he will get bbq chicken or fried chicken as opposed to the bbq. The man is sick, I tell you! But I love him anyway. :-)

Volley...feeling any better? We had rotissery chicken and potato saldad and salad. I did not feel like cooking so my dinner was courtesy of the deli.

I do like a good rotissiere chicken..everyone once in awhile I get these cravings for a good roast chicken and I could eat a whole one on my own.

This one had mediteranian (sp) seasoning..never had it before..think I will stick to lemon pepper. Alot of times I bring it home let it cool and chop it for salad topping. Great in the summer.

I like Lemon Pepper too! They also have Garlic pepper and thats pretty good, but prefer the lemon. :D

Sometimes if I shop around 8-9pm, the mark down the chickens from that night ( if ther are any) for half-off then I freeze them. Great for enchiladas, tacos, and salads too..exactly what you do.

Can't stand tomato sauce (except on pizza) since I've been pregnant.

Any time... :lol: I really do not like it, I make it for everyone else. I only like sauce on noodles and not alot. The way I like it best is on bread. I do not even like it on pizza.

My fave kind of pizza is a white pie...but since my gallbladder is gone, it doesn't agree with me!

this is really gross to some people but I like white pizza with clams.

UGH!! I don't like clams in general...besides the fact I'm allergic to them, they are slimey!

Linguine with white clam sauce is my favorite comfort food! It has to be fresh clams not canned. Yes I am weird!

Frog, that is one of may favorites too. I never learned how to make it...my dad always did..I tried the canned out of depseration and got sick. Never again.

I will PM you the recipe. My wife swears it is as good as it gets. Of coures, she is my wife. I have tweeked this over thirty years. Another favorite is Stuffies, or baked stuffed clams. I have developed that recipe over twenty years.

OH Frog, Please.....If you were here I would kiss you... I have not had good clam sauce in seven years!!! I love stuffed clams. That was my choice many times for my special birthday dinner. My dad would make those for me too...and the best part was I did not have to share.

I guess we all know what dinner at my house is going to be this weekend. It will be worth the hour drive for the clams.

what about mussels? I see them on these shows, mussels in garlic wine sauce they look so good steamed and opened. but are they really?
