Hey everyone! Mike and I have been talking, and we came up with an idea..We all share so much here, we think it would be special to share the holiday, too!

Next Thursday, Thanksgiving day, please find a second to stop in and post in a special thread. I will start the thread at midnight, Wednesday night. I will be reminding you all week about this!!

Tell your friends to post too..We want to see everyone together in one thread. Help us make this Thanksgiving extra special..Look for reminders!


As usual, I'll be here! :D I'd be glad to join in on Thanksgiving Day with everyone here! Why not share the day with our friends?!?!

I think we'll have quite a few people here to share the day! Even if you have to RUN to the computer for just a minute, stop on by and post! We'll be here. So we'll have turkey and dressing running down the front of us! :wink:

I think that is great, but not sure if I will be able to get to a computer. We are going to be leaving out of here early tomorrow morning to head to KY and Indiana and will be coming back home the day after Thanksgiving. (Daughter had that big band competition in Indy at the RCA Dome. Last year they will be there, next year at the new dome) If I can get to a computer, I will definitly post something.

Will try my darndest!!!

I have sent emails to the members who haven't been here much lately. It may be because of of their busy schedules. But anyways, it will be great to see them back for a moment and post. I am quite excited with the feeling that the holidays are not far away! :mrgreen:

Lots of fun, parties, games, gifts in the community this Christmas and New Year. Everyone, please put your suggestions. :)

let me give you my menu for thanksgiving (all my family will be here)

turkey & dressing
ham
fresh green beans
turnip & mustard greens
southern potato salad
candied yams
homemade mac & cheese
homemade rolls
sweet potato pie
colonial chess pie
homemade apple cake
deviled eggs
and don't forget the tums and rolaids :lol:

Sounds like a great idea! We aren't going out until about noon, so I'll try & pop in that morning...or I'll stop in at nite.

We have to go to Jim's aunt's for Thanksgiving. Its about a 30 minute drive-not too bad, but I"d rather stay home & watch the Ghosthunters Marathon on Scifi channel....

I'm going to grannys too!! I have 60 pounds of turkey in my freezer and not sure if I will be here to cook them. I always fix that much to feed my family, my brother and his wife, since she had the stroke, my youngest and gf and kids and my neighbor who has no family--But--with mom in hospital, don't know if that's gonna happen..Will probably be here Thanksgiving day, at least in between hospital, so will see you all then..karen :D
