I applied for this card, it states that as long as you have a checking account your automatically approved, but when I applied they said I was declined, they state they don't don't check credit, but I looked at my credit report and they did. Anyone know anything about this and have contact number for them.

i had a card with them.when i changed my checking account information with them they then debited the old account after they had debited the current account they then told me that i was behind on my payments. I called and spoke with one of their collections people they and asked what account they had on file . it was the current checking account but they would not refund tthe late fees ket blaming me..i told them to close the cc accoutn they did so then kept trying to debit the account. i recieved a letter from them a week later saiying that my account had been closed as per my request and to wait a billing cycle for them to credit my account befor making any more payments.. then..next bill was almost 200 dollars higher than the previous month..when called and tried to talk to someone at Imagine all i could get was a call center that handles multiple cc accounts for several companies.. i then told them that i would pay as soon as i talked with someone from imagine them selves . have never heard form them since.. and not on my cc reort either.

I wish I had never gotten involved with this company! 1st....I have NEVER received a single statement, not one in the 12 months they've been F&*^*) me. I called customer service several times asking why I am not getting any statements. Every time I was told a different story (error in their system, a wrong address, to the statement was returned by the post office. They had no problem getting the card to me? I have received ALL of my other mail without a problem, on time as scheduled, for the past 12 months. Since, they hadn't sent a statement....ever...(got the card Feb 2007), I stopped using it completely by Jun/Jul.

Next thing I know, they're charging me all types of fines, because SUDDENLY my checking account used for payment is NOT A VALID checking account number! Nothing changed with any of my accounts, it was the same number they had been using. Of course never seeing a single statement, makes things a little difficult for me to know what they're doing. So, I was on the phone with customer services being transferred, put on hold, repeating the situation to this person and that person. Finally, what do you know! OOps another error in their system. I demanded that the fees and fines be removed and the account CLOSED! They apologized and so kindly told me that the error was corrected and there was nothing more to worry about. Of course, requested that they send a statement for ALL the months I never received one, for my records, and also to check for other "system errors" they had been making. I mean they're taking money from my checking account without me having a clue of what was going on. I closed the account while on the phone, and they confirmed the account was closed before I hung the phone up (thinking the 2 hours I had spent, alerting them of ANOTHER 'system error' was taken care of). I should mention, also, it took so long with customer service because, I kept getting disconnected while 'holding'. I'm sure a lot of people got very frustrated and stopped calling... I'm sure that is what they wanted, seeing as how my balance increased by 80%, and without a statement in my hand, I am to trust their system would never screw me. My credit limit was $300, and I had torn the card up in Jun/Jul. The above occurred in 8/07.

Living my life in peace, with my account closed and feeling confident that the problems with 'My Imagine Card' were finally behind me. September, October, November, December, January......January 29th 2008, today, I had a very strange message on my machine. An automated recording saying something about a credit card, and to please call...followed by a long list of the hours I could call and couldn't call between. I thought it was a credit card company telemarketing call. My bills were mailed on Friday, and none of my statements showed any past due notices. What made me call the number, was, I don't have a credit card (never will again), only my debit card (from my trustworthy, highly regarded bank Washington Mutual). I called the number. The man that answered asked me what credit card I use. I have never heard of a credit card company, or any company claiming I have an account with, ask me something like that. Normally, they identify themselves and the company they're calling on behalf of. I immediately thought it was an identity theft scam or some type of fraudulent call. I told him, I'm not telling you anything, not even my name. Then I heard, Do you have a card with 'My Imagine Card'? I didn't say, yes because what company trains their customer service like that. Of course, my answer was 'You tell me." He knew I was hanging up on him, and quickly identified himself as calling from the collections department. He was right, I hung up on him.

I then called 'My Imagine Card', and what do you know! My account was never closed, and no payment had been taken directly from my checking account, since September, because the 'system' says it's not a valid account number! What!?! I closed the account! Nope, it's showing in their 'system' it's in collections, and I owe them $500. Wait my credit limit was $300, when I CLOSED the account! Of course their 'system' showed the account as open, maxed out at $300 and the additional $200 is because their 'system' couldn't take money directly from my checking account. Their 'system' is a programed to rip people off---it's not an error! It's working perfect......it's ripping me off and stealing money for them.

Just so happens, this time, their 'system' malfunctioned while I had an attorney sitting, in my living room right next to me, listening. My Imagine Card, told me that it would all be taken care of and fixed....not to worry, all they needed was for me to PAY THEM HALF TODAY, and they 'would allow' ....... ?!?!?!?!!?Half?!?!?!?!?!

If there are other people, having problems with 'My Imagine Card', we need to get together and stop their 'system', because everyday their 'system' is on it is charging fees, and could be stripping you of everything you have and damaging your credit forever. This is could be a class action lawsuit. Anyone that has had problems come forward.

Everyone talkin crap about this card.... I love it. This card is for people with bad credit so of course fees will be a lil high. But its the best deal out of the 20 credit rebuilder cards I've looked at.

I applied on-line - same as everyone else. Then, I received a very dubious letter asking for an incredible amount of information:
1) copy of my social security card
2) an original pay stub dated within the last thirty days
3) a copy of the two most recent tax returns
4) an original phone or utility bill dated within the last 30 days
4) a copy of a bank statement daten within the last 30 days
5) a voided copy of a check from my bank account

and, their final note:
If this information is NOT(emphasis added) received within 21 days, we will assume you have decided to withdraw your application.

What application? Their website ran a quick credit check and said that I was approved.

What kind of business practice is this? Why would the Bank of Delaware allow such shoddy business practices to be employed under their name? Even normal credit card business practices NEVER ask for that information - they simply run a credit check and approve or decline. Just the idea of asking for information at such detail makes one very suspicious.

I would like to know what governmental agency I might contact to investigate this business practice.
