Back in August of this past year, I got a loan from FSM Processing (a/k/a FSM Group) for $250.00. I was in under my eyeballs in debt from cash advance places, and closed my bank account so I could catch up on these things. I've paid off a couple here and there, and am in the process of paying off one to FSM Processing. Well, after a run around, I finally got a payment to a company called ART (account receivable technologies), and everything was hunky dory. Well, today, I get a call from an Anthony Galloway and Associates and they say they're going to file my account with the courts for check fraud?!? What is this?

I had a bunch of loans, and took out a loan against my 401K to pay them off. Paragon qould not let me know how much to pay, so, I paid what I thought owed by looking at my bank statements. Well a man named Russell Crenshaw called me and said that this is going to be turned over to someone, and I will be arrested and to contact my attorney and have I ever been in trouble before (no), well, he said that this is the day that it will start. I figured out that the interest is something like 800%. I will not back down from these people.

That has been a year and I only got $200 from them. I need to call them immediately to pay them off or whatever. Thanks to anyone who can help!!! My e-mail address is . I would appreciate anyone e-mailing me with their number or address.

I myself have had the phone calls from Anthony Galloway...they are not REAL!! After doing extensive research on them with the help of the Prosecuting Attorney of Wyoming, these people are just out trying to get your money. ART in fact, is a real company, and quite nice in working to help you with your debt. They will even tell you that Anthony Galloway, United Federal, or Platinum B are not legit collection companies and that you should just ignore anything they tell you!

I, like many others on this board, received a phone call today that shocked the heck out of me. I was phoned by this guy who was obviously from a foreign country who told me that I had 30 minutes to call him back, that he had my IP address on file and that I had taken out a payday loan with his company and not paid it back.

He told me criminal charges were going to be filed for bank fraud because I closed my account. I told him to hold it, for I didn't close the account---HIS company kept on hitting it over and over repeatedly and on dates other than those originally agreed upon until my credit union of 16 years finally closed the account themselves. He gave me a "case number" and a 908-212-3726 number to call him back. I've never had a criminal complaint alleged against me, and the ONLY reason I resorted to payday loans was because my mom had an acute heart attack in January and she already has COPD. I explained this situation to the guy and said I'd be more than glad to work out a payment plan, but he would have none of it. I was shaken, then mad. I called the FTC and filed a complaint, then called a nonprofit consortium to stop predatory lending in Durham, NC and am awaiting a return phone call. Additionally, I called the CUNA and explained the situation to them. Everyone involved says, matter-of-factly that this company VIOLATED the law by harrassing me to the point of exasperation and by accusing me of a crime when I've never so committed one. One thing is certain---I WILL work to see that Payday lenders are run OUT of America. They're as bad as the Taliban and their members actually sound like the Taliban!

This is a famous threat from them. They think if they threaten bank fraud, people will run out and pay them immediately and pay them way more than what is owed. They will not file anything against you. File a complaint against them with the AG office in your state and the state they are operating out of. Their case number is nothing more than an account number.

I too have received calls from the 908 and 305 area codes from this company. Of course the man leaving the messages speaks virtualy no english so even if I were so inclined, I couldn't call him back because I can't understand a word he says except for 'good luck with this legal mess if you don't call me back'. Nice...not.

That is the address I used. I suppose they refused it. When I called for an address, they said we will only release that to your attorney. I suppose now my only outlet is the attorney general. Espcially since this account went to collections. I will send a letter to the collection agency telling them this debt is no longer owed. Not sure what else to do

I never took a loan from this company, but had my identity stolen. I applied for a home loan and was approved (or so I thought). I had investigated on the internet the company or what I thought was the company. I have bad credit so the traditional loan company wouldn't work. I was told that I needed to pay for the insurance on this loan. Stupid me I did, and that was my biggest mistake, not only did this company take my money they stole my identity, the "loan" company had a copy of my drivers license, had my SS #, checking account info because the money was supposed to be direct deposited. I never got my money and over a months time 8 payday loans were taken out in my name. I reported it to the state's attorney's office, and the police department, federal trade commision, and I also notified the people who said I took money from. This is the only place 1st Credit of America, that has been a nightmare. The funny thing is, companies are not allowed to make loans to people in my state. I still am checking into, not only this matter but why I am being harrassed.

I just had the privilege (not) of speaking (well trying to anyway) Shawn Watson. He claimed he had me on a recorded line promising to pay (not true) and that I had to pay by 5pm today (its 4 now). I told him I spoke to the original creditor who had never heard of his company (true) and that i wanted a debt validation letter. He told me, like so many others, that I must pay first and I was insistent that i would not pay a dime until i received confirmation that this debt was accurate and UF was the valid CA. He tried again to tell me he'd fax it as soon as I paid...I told him no, he was going to mail it and only after that would we discuss payment. He finally said 'okay, I'll send you something in writing' and hung up.

We shall see.

You owed $300 and paid $630? Consider it paid off. What are they saying you owe now? The courts will side with you. They don't like these places ripping people off.

Well when I defaulted on my loan and these idiots called me, I immdiatly called the original creditor to verify who they sent my account to. They sent the account to another company whos uses United Federal to collect for them. I told her about the harrassing phone calls and I was not longer going to deal with them because they wouldn't give me any information. If they wanted any money they were going to have to fax something over to my credit counselor. That was a month ago and she hasn't seen anything yet, nor have I heard from them. I am actually going to default on my loan with FSM this Friday so I guess I have to be prepared to receive another call from these idots. My credit counselor is sending proposals out this week, so hopefully they accept without sending me to collections.

I would defiantly call them and verify who it was sent to. I don't have a contact name for them but hopefully they will give you some answers.

I would call and say I had a loan with you guys that I defaulted on and I want to make payment arrangements. They will probably then ask what you SSN# is and then they will probably say. Oh your account was sent to collections, you will need to contact this number. If they just give you a number ask them the name of the company as well.

If he calls back, tell him that you have a recorder on your phone and the call is being recorded. It might not help, but you can give it a shot. The last conversation I had with them, I told him I filed complaints with the Attorney general and the FTC and that I gave them his phone number and so called 3 fake names he gave me.

Ok So I just got off the phone with a lady at FSM and they would not give me any information such as the phone number to the company and so forth. I just know that this "united federal Bank" bought out my loan and they are NOT a collection company. But I want to get this debt paid off but have nowhere to send the money to so what should my next step be?

They are calling from different numbers everytime. For example: 904-685-5008 and 718-715-0846 and also it said "private number" a few times. Yes I acted like i was sending the money and he said send it by money gram and gave me all this info and stuff. When he calls back I am going to go off on that man its like its the same person everytime but hes giving me a different name or something

That is so crazy..
The 904-685-5008 is from Florida and
718-715-0846 is from New York.
I would tell them, how do you expect me to just jump up and send you money when you won't give me any information.

They are such idiots, I wish I could see these people face to face and tell them like it is.

The last phone call I had with the idot, I told him I was only going to make payment through my program and that if he wanted any money they were going to have to verify the debt in writing. I kept talking over him and getting loud which was getting him mad...He said "Good Luck" and hung up

I got one more call after that and it was just a prank to my cell phone. When I got on the phone he just said "Hey how ya doin" and hung up.

It's been over a month and I haven't heard from them and they never faxed over anything to my counselor.

Hopefully they don't get any of the accounts I will be defaulting on this Friday.

If they don't want to give you any information then I would just ignore them until they are ready to cooperate, which seems probably never.

Ok I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, The Federal Trade Commission, Attorney General of Florida and Attorney General of Alabama. Hopefully that will help. I still just have in the back of my head these idiots will come up here and I will go to jail! They also left a message saying they would come to my work and my house to get me!

I called Kathy yesterday and she informed me that she didnt know who had bought out my debt. So I wasn't able to get any information just that some company had bought out my debt. I wouldn't send them any money like Yondela told me. Just got to the Attorney General of Florida and your state and the Federal Trade Commission and file a complain online. If you want the websites ill be glad to give them to you. Make sure if they are leaving you voicemails that you save them .

I have been receiving threatening calls from Andrew Flintoff, who claims he is an Affidavit Processor for United Federal Bank whose client, Debt Doctor, gave me a payday loan. He said my case file was being downloaded and I was also going to jail for check fraud and that 7 or 8 people would be either at home or here at work to pick me up. He said, "Don't worry - we'll find you. We know where you live and where you work." I called the Police Dept. who listened to his recordings I kept and they called to tell him he was being investigated for harassment. The police officer said they could barely understand his broken english, but that when this jerk realized it was a legitimate law enforcement officer, he actually hung up on her! I am having my lawyer call him next & may sue United Federal Bank for harassment.

I have applied for only 2 payday loans and i did it online and gave authorization to remove money from my account. Every payday I check my account to make sure the correct amount is removed. FSM popped up on my statement and I dont know who they are and how they gained access to my account. I never spoke to anyone about a FSM loan. Each of the two loans that I applied for was online and they called me afterwards. With FSM I had to look them up online and find out their e-mail address. I have sent them a message to call me and havent received a response and to add to that they are still removing money from my account. Is my information being shared online and should I close my account?

Nez,
Call them at this number (1-866-516-9300) and ask them when you applied for this loan.

FSM along with several other companies are affiliated with several websites. So when you apply for a loan online your information is sent to several lenders. FSM is one who does not do alot of verifcation and they just assume you want the loan after applying so they took upon themselves to just give you the money. When I applied online I got one with FSM and the only thing I remember getting was an email stating I was approved.

Pink Lady and Nez... the EXACT same thing happened to me. I applied with ONLY ONE paticular company. I understand that my information was shared with other companies, but FSM went TOOOOO far. They deposited the money and sent me a simple e-mail saying my loan was approved. I NEVER received a single piece of paper of by-laws or anything. When I requested a copy of my "contract", all FSM could provide me with was the payment schedule. Someone needs to put the SOB's to rest! C'mon. Certain emergencies happen in our lives where we have nowhere else to turn but a pay-day loan, then you have unhonest, money laundering companies such as these. It's horrible. I check back to this website everyonce in a while just to catch up on the events with FSM. I'm still trying to get my case together with them. Best of luck to everyone.

That is how I got several of my loans...FTR Processing, JD Marketing, FSM Group, Arrowhead Financial and SJM Marketing. They just get your information from the website you applied to and the next day you have money in your account...not even a phone call. I got emails from several of them, but they all said someone was going to be contacting me.
I was desparate and in need of the money so bad, I didn't even think twice about I was just happy the money was in my account. Then after that you never hear from them and they never answer phones once your are ready to pay them off or have the need to talk to them. But they are quick to call you once they can't get their payment.
