Hi it is now more than 6 months since USMAC took $3800 from me. On the contract I wrote “refundable†before sighing it and they cashed my money without objecting to altered contract. They advised me to stop paying my mortgage because they will notify the bank that they are representing me. But once I received a notice from the bank, the USMAC denied having advised me to not send payments. I talked to them a month ago and they said over the phone that they will refund me. But so far they have done nothing. How can I get my money back. Can anyone send me (in private message) contact for a mortgage lawyer, whom you know has a refundable clause.

Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the payoff amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.
