I have desperatly been trying to repair my credit, using this site every day to help. Well today I updated my reports and saw an account I have never seen or have no knowledge of!!! here is the info with some things left out for my protection:

(800) 251-2340
Balance: $ 0
Date Updated: 08/2007
High Balance: $ 2,500
Credit Limit: $ 2,500
Pay Status: Paid or paying as agreed
Account Type: Revolving Account
Responsibility: Individual Account
Date Opened: 05/2007
Date Paid: 05/2007

Loan Type: Revolving Account - Charge Account

I never authorized this and I have never received anything about this account! I cant talk to anyone I tried for hours. Im so scared this is going to hurt me in the long run, I dont have a way to pay even if I wanted to! I filed a complaint with the FTC, but they wont help fix it only use it for their database I guess. anyone, please, help. sara

It says that the account is paid or paying as agreed. Do you have any revolving credit cards? The balance is 0, there is nothing to pay.

I have 2 but the limit is 300 and 200, then one loan for 1,458.00 this isnt any of them, I know that is what gets me the balance thing and how it says it was opened on 5/18/07 and just appeared this month.

well, as long as it says balance 0 I realy wouldn't worry too much about it.

It says Paid, or paying as agreed, and if the balance is 0 then it was paid

You need to still look into it. If it's not yours it shouldn't be on your report.

Dispute it with the agencies.

You do need to worry about this, A LOT. If someone opened credit in your name, they know at least your name and social security company. You need to send a certified dispute letter to the company and the credit bureau.
