i don't know where to look exactly, so I'm having a hard time finding out if these lenders are licensed in Illinois:

ameriloan
Payday2go
my cash now
cash direct express
little loan shoppe
Instant Cash 911
Zip 19
Discount Advances
Fast-cash-Personal-Loans (APPLE)
Loan Point USA
EZ payday cash
instant loans now
US fast cash
Platinum B Services (SJM Marketing)
Capital Funding Express

I know its ridiculous but for now I'm looking for help to get them to stop debiting my account

gabmacmom. I think if you go to your states dept of corporations or just google payday licenses in Illinois you may be able to pull up the website and see if they are licensed. Which of these if any are storefronts? The storefronts are usually licensed. Can you also post how much borrowed, how much paid so far? We are here to help you. Believe me, at one time I probably had loans out with about the same number of lenders as you do. S### happens and we get desperate to provide for our families. Do not feel bad, just let us know what you borrowed and how much you have paid so far and we can help you from there.

You can go to the IL Dept of Financial Institutions website at : http://www.idfpr.com/dfi/ccd/ccd_licensees.asp

There, you can search the list of licensess. Only problem when searching is that a lot of companies use DBAs. You may know them as their DBA; but they may have a license under their corporate entity. You can always call the state to find out.

All I can say is that I did what I had to to survive at the time. Little did I know what a payday web I was led into; one led to another ande another because I could never pay it all. All of them are internet and they are for my husband and myself.

ameriloan($200) Bal $130 paid $445
Instantloansnow.com ($300) Bal $390 paid $450
MyCashNow.com ($250) Bal $249.10 paid $312.81
USFastCash.com ($250) Bal $65 paid $785
Landmark Express dba CapitalFundingExpress.com ($300)
Bal $390 paid $270
platinumbservices.com/SJM Marketing ($200) Bal $260
paid $180
InstantCash911.com ($400) Bal $455 paid $650

The others confuse me because the documents say one name and they're withdrawn from our account in another name. I haven't quite gotten those straightened out yet.

As I am sure you read Guest, some of the internet loans are illegal in the first place. You may have to pay only the origanal amount that you borrowed, and sometimes after a debt validation letter to the internet company , they refund the amount you paid and forget the rest. It has been done many times here, but you have a lot of work to do to get there. Others who are reading this may be able to guide you through the process. My demons where all store front and the worst one of those was check n go who I won wtih, thanks to this site. Good luck.

Here are the Payday loan laws for Illinois (just select your state). Also, debtcruncher gives the link above to check them out individually. And yes, they tend to have dba's but just try putting in the name in as your remember it on any of your loan documents and see what happens.

Hi Guest. The people above have some great advice and info. I understand, we all got sucked into the web of pdl. It looks like you may have overpaid some of these. If you come back we can help you. Read the info on closing your account and if it is the right thing to do then close it or at least put a block on it. These pdl companies have gotten enough of your hard earned money. Many are illegal and as stated above by luke you may be able to get a refund if you have the stomach to fight them. Hang in there and ask questions if you need to we are here to help you not judge you:-)

Kris, maybe you could call your dept of corporations or whatever the licensing agency is for your state. I have read here where people called state agency and found out whether or not the pdls were legal. A simple thing would be to check the pdl;s website, sometimes the legit ones post their license info. I am sure someone else here will be by with better info than mine so hang in there.
