I live in Indiana and I have taken out several online PDL's. A few of them have just charged me the interest for over a year now. I am in a trap and can't seem to get out of it. $300 a week is taken out of my checking account and that is just the fees. The companies I deal with or have Dealt with are Cash Direct, Up Front Pay Day, Paycheck Today, Discount Advances, Interim, Instant Cash Til Pay Day, One Click Cash, MTE, and Zip Cash. Any suggestions would be helpful.

me again, Bikergirl... I printed this letter out and I am going to use this along with my cease letters to see what happens. I am also going to file complaints with AG. I also found another letter stating that if they charged over the allowable interest that the loan would be void as well. Just gathering me some ammunition, lol.

If you check your earlier posts..I checked all your pdls already...please read the info I posted for you earlier in this posting...all the info is there for you.

That secondary letter from Indiana..I was told any loans made after 07/01/07...if the pdl loans more than 25 times in the state without a license they will be rebuked. File with our Indiana AG's office they were very helpful to me.

If you need anything else please let us know...

I went to the AG site and printed off the complaint form;http://www.indianaconsumer.com/consumer_complaint.asp

I filled one out for each ipdl I was complaining about. I had 5 that I had paid/overpaid. Then I attached to each complaint the C&D letter I wrote, and an emails I may have ahd from them. I then wrote a letter explaining how I had gotten involved in these loans without realizing the illeaglity of it all..and how I was trying to set things right. I asked for help.

About a month later I got a letter saying my complaints were being investigated. About a month after that I got another letter from the assistant AG that was handling my mediation. He sent me a copy of the first answer they had gotten with recommendations to accept their offer. It was the 1st PIF I got from them.

Tweety...I really only got nasty emails from one of the ipdls I had, a couple just kept sending the same one telling me that their debit was refused...duh!

After i sent my letters to the AG I haven't heard from any of them except when getting my PIF. Ot ut of the other 5 I had that I still owe...I managed to make arrangements through my debt management program and have paid off 2 of them so far. So out of 10 I have 3 in the dmp and the 2 I haven't heard from??....GFSIL....and MCN...and I really don't expect to hear from them any time soon!!

me Bikergirl again, I can't seem to get logged in for some reason. Anyway, I have a couple questions, I some of my loans have only been renewed once or twice, however I have used the same company for past loans that I pd the renewals on and then paid off can I go back and use what I pd on the last loan with them and count toward my new loan, or would I have to just use the numbers for the new loan? Also who said they were in Indiana?

I tried that with one of my loans that I so overpaid the first time...and I still owed like $100. on the second one...they refused to acknowledge the first loan. And we are still fighting about it...it's one of the 2 I haven't heard from since the AG letters went out. So in a nut shell I was told by the DFI office (Department of Financial Institutions) that no it probably would not work to pit a past loan against a new one.

I'm sorry I didn't understand your last question.

me Biker girl... Too funny Whister did not withdraw their $90 out of my checking account today and I haven't closed my account yet. Hmmm... I have been paying them since July/06. Should I call them, I haven't filed anything or even taken action at all... I think they read this forum.

I don't think I would contact them over this...they will contact you in time..have you decided what to do with your account. If payday is here I would withdraw what's left and go talk to the bank about closing the account. Make sure you read the info available on that..it's important. After your account is closed you can start getting your letters together and your complaints filed with the AG...by next payday you should have control of your money again.

I think I am oing to withdraw what is left and close my account today, I have a few items that haven't cleared yet, but going to keep that amount in there and hopefully I can give the names and check #'s to my bank so they can clear only them. We'll see.

Bikergirl here... Oh and I also contacted my payroll department and I don't have to worry about them making wage assignments or calls to verify my employment because she told me that they will only communicate by mail so they will have to mail something to get my info and if it isn't court ordered by a US court she doesn't abide.

Biker Girl, I had several things still out when I closed my acct. I just told the person exactly who they were to and how much they were for and they took care of it. I took the rest of my money and opened a new account. The companies tried to hit my account the next day but were returned and all the items I listed were paid.

bikergirl, do you know how to go to the bbb site and search for a company? Go to www.bbb.org and type in the company name. It should pop up with the address and phone number. That's how we've all found the majority of our pdl's.

Yes, I got all the addresses and info now. Thanks a bunch!!! Got all my letters ready to go out on Thursday!!! I thought this was interesting, I called one of the payday companies and asked for their street address, they told me for security reasons they couldn't give that information out??? Then asked for my name and I said for security reasons you can't have that!!!
