Ok, here are the EIGHT cards I have in our debt settlement program.

(2) Chase cards about 4000.00 each.
(2) Sears cards about 2000.00 and 4000.00
(1) Providian, Now Washington Mutal at about 4500.00
(2) wfnnb at about a combined total of 2000.00
(1) Bank of America about 3500.00

Now, has anyone heard of these cards mentioned above if they:

Are difficult to work with?
Garnish and sue alot?
or anything known about them at all?

Sears and WFNNB is the worst so far.

Anybody in the same boat as I am, share your settlement story with me. I am desperate to have a conversation with someone that is going through the same crap as I am.

Well here we go....
Don't know about WFFNB.. Never have one.
Providian (had one) yells and screams a lot, but doesn't follow through.

I have heard that WaMu yells and screams and plays dirty. - Never dealt with them personally.

Sears. Sears sold their credit card unit to Citibank about three years ago, so what ever you have heard about Citibank should also apply to sears.-- Never dealt with either one personally.

Bank of America. Really never gave me too much hassle a few calls every now and then, but thats about it.
They were also the last one I defaulted on right before I filed, so they may not have had a chance to get ugly.

wfnnb is a tough one to deal with. I have their phone number as

WFNNB 1-800-695-5316 / 1-800-224-3114 / 1-888-427-7790

In any case, no company should go beyond the federal and state laws, especially after you are paying the debt through the debt settlement program. Since the accounts are already put in the settlement program, you are trying to pay them off. This gives no reason to any company to file a judgment against you.

here is the weird part:

2 of my wfnnb cards are in the settlement program, and I have yet a third one that I get to keep open and pay them monthly.

I have a bank of America card in the program....but yet my truck is through Bank of America and I pay them monthly and also my joint acct wiht debt settlement company that they put my money I pay them monthly is with Bank of America.

Now, you can see why I am a bit freaked and on the edgy side. I have been told that each acct is seperate and under no circumstance can they take from any of the open and current accts.

All I can say is that I have been reading alot of bad things about WAMU on the internet lately. They don't seem to be very good to work with. I had them as my bank for checking when I was dealing with PDL and I am having problems with them for that. They keep letting checks go through even though there are stop payments on them. I know alot of people I have talked with have had bad experiences with them.

I am also dealing with a Sears account ($10,000). I called them to make payment arrangements and they won't budge. They want $1000 by 6/17 and then $330/month. I can't afford this and I explained that. They don't care. I told them I could only afford $200/month and they said they could only accept the above arrangement. I am going to pay the $200/month and hope for the best. You can pay this directly at the Sears store.

The only thing I know is that they won't except payments over the phone. They require that you go into the store to make payments.

If anyone has any additional information about dealing with Sears, I would greatly appreciate it as well.

My Sears acct has been turned over to NES collections, my hubbys has been turned over to NCO--TWO DIFFERENT agencys--go figure.

NCO does not contact us very much at all, they have no way whats so ever to contact the hubby..which is good because he freaks out more than I do. NES is able to contact me and I have to get mean and ugly right back with them.

My card company went over each and every card they put into my program and they told me about each and everyone of them. They told me they could accept all the cards and told me right off the bat that Sears was very aggressive. They told me that Providian (WUMU), Chase and BOA were the best to work with in their personal opinion.

We will see. :D

I've dealt with BOA on a past bankruptcy issue They had bought out Fleet Banks credit customers during my bankruptcy and somehow my account got lost in the shuffle. It went on my record as being late months and months and months - FINALLY, I go ahold of the right person at BOA and the entire time, they had notice of my discharge on my account. It was fixed quickly - but I'm still having trouble removing the late payment information from my report (even though I was NEVER late - not even before the bankruptcy.

On top of all that, I've been a BOA customer since 1996 - you'd think they would be quick to help out their regular account customers. Sheesh.
