I just recieve a phone call from the company, Asset Accetance LLC. That i owed $1,122.71 from an account that i paid off on 1997. The amount was $300.00 to begin with. Then I start to recieve letters from them.
I told them that account was paid almost then years, but they insist that I have to pay it. I will not pay for something that I pay already on top of that they put it back on credit report as a due. How can I get them off my back.

Send them a debt validation letter and proof that you have already paid this bill (if you still have it) Also send them a cease and desist letter telling them to only communicate with you in writing. Be careful, some of these collection agencies are crooks. They try to get people to pay on debts that are SOL or have been discharged in bankruptcy, I think there are some postings on this site regarding this company.

Any company is not allowed to hurt your credit by reporting inaccurate negative information with the bureaus. Asset Acceptance is collecting for a debt that has been already paid by you. Your previous credit report copies, payment receipts can prove this. Asset Acceptance must have a legitimate reason or else file a case against them for violating the FCRA.

I just recieved FOUR letter from them today!
One each in two DIFFERENT names. Both stating that they welcome me as a customer of AA.

The other is a "so-called" validation from them.
But, it still fails to show some of the requested information.

Will be sending another letter, CM-RRR within the next week. But, how do I get them to remove an incorrect account name that they decided to associate with me??

I've sent a notice once, CM-RRR that was never replied to. And action on said account etc.....was never taken.

As always, information is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
