I was having financial hardships, then I los my job. I've been unemployed for 3 months now. I want to see if there's any way to combine all or most of my debt into 1 payment.

Hi Dana! Welcome to the forum. You should be able to combine most of your unsecured debt (i.e., credit cards, personal loans, etc.) into a consolidation plan and make one payment a month.

When you registered with this site, if you filled out the request for your free consultation with a debt counselor, you should be contacted shortly. They can discuss your situation and explain the options available to you regarding a debt consolidation program.

Consolidation program is not the same thing as consolidation loan. In a consolidation program, you make the monthly payments to your consolidation company and they send the money to your different creditors included in the plan. The repayment plans will be much easier than what you are paying to your creditors at present. The interest rates are minimized and most of the financial charges and late fees are waived off, making it very helpful for the consumers.

Go through the process of the credit counseling and how it works. It's explained in the article below.
