I want to get out of debt so I can start over with my life and by a condo or a house one day. I don't want a huge car payment (that I got stuck with in the divorce), and I want to not worry about things anymore. I want to be financially independent and get on with my life.

Medical Bills $600.00

scenni78, look into your finances and calculate how much you will be able to afford in your repayments. You will have a lower repayment plan in the dmp program. And to keep it going, you need to have a fair income more than your expenses.
All your bills will combine together under one plan. Make sure that you stick to the plan once started. The counselor will talk to your creditors and negotiate for some benefits.
