My husband passed away a little over a year ago. He had been laid off from his job of 30 years since Jan. 2002. He had been unable to find a job due to health problems and when he passed away he had no life insurance. So, I was left to pay for everything on my salary alone. I get no income from Social Security because he was not old enough.
So far, I have lost my car and am in serious jeopardy of defaulting on my mortgage. I get calls every day, several times a day from collectors, both at home and at work. I got sucked into the payday loan scam just like a lot of you, just trying to keep things together.
I sure was glad to find this website. I wish I had found it earlier. Right now I am trying to deal with Interim Cash Ltd. I took out a $200 loan with them last December. Since that time they have taken $985 out of my bank account. I have called them and they still insist that I owe them money. I contacted my bank and disputed the last deduction that they made and also put a stop payment on any future deductions from them. I want to send them a registered letter showing that they are in violation of several of Florida's laws and to demand that they send me documentation of my account with them. I need an address for them though. Can anybody help me?

This forum has many discussions on ICS. You along with many others have similar problems with this company. They will not send anything in paper as they say themselves to be a paperless company. Since you have paid more than the authorized charges by this time, it will be safe closing the account or put a stop payment so that they don't get money from your account in the future. Later, they might call you for more money. Take the strongest side and ask them to give you the loan statement for reviewing. You need to see all the past payments and dispute the excessive charges. The poster here says that he works with ICS. I am not sure if it is giving out the actual facts but you can go through this link for some knowledge. I believe there are some facts in it because the company didn't come up with points to defend themselves. Besides, the loads of complaints filed in the BBB, FTC and the state attorney general office confirms most of these problems.

First of all, I'm sorry about the loss of your husband. I hope things are getting better for you.

Soon you will be getting a call from a counselor. They will talk to you about debt consolidation or debt settlement. Hang in there..They will be able to help you.
