Do you mean a PDL? I don't know for sure, but I would think that a certain type of procedure has to be followed. You know like first it has not clear, then a phone call, then it goes to collections. I am just guessing here though.

If you are talking about a storefront payday loan, the storefront will have to deposit the check first and then when it is returned NSF, they will contact you to see when you will be able to take care of it. Some storefronts will continue to deposit 2 or 3 times.

I'm not sure about this. All the storefronts that I have dealt with just automatically deposit the check whether the funds are there or not.

I've dealt with Cashland also, and they will just deposit your checks if you don't pick them up. Once they are returned NSF, call their collections dept and see if you can set up payment arrangements so they won't redeposit. Their collections # is (800)773-3147.

I haven't heard of Starlight Financial. You will need to send this company a letter stating that you are revoking their authorization to debit your account. They will probably not abide by it, though. Can you open another account with your same bank or possibly even a different bank, and close the one that these internet payday loans have access too? I would wait and close it after Cashland deposits their checks, b/c this way, they will not be able to prove criminal intent.
