So i have been doing very well with eliminating all of my payday loan help.

On 9/26 I emailed Fast E-funds before my schedule 9/30 withdrawal stating I have paid back my principal I would like this account closed. I never got a response and didnt have a debit on 9/30 so I assumed the matter was resolved. I check my account balance on Saturday morning and I see that they put a check throwugh for the principal plus 240 interest and it cleared through account. Now I am missing $1,040 from my account and freaking out. I called CHASE and they cannot intervene with payday loans. I am going to call fast efunds tomorrow and get to bottom of it.

what are my rights and what should my stragegy. I live in Florida and have made $860 in payments on a $800 loan. They just took that 1040 so I dont know what to do.

please help with solid advice.

thanks.
AC

I guess that is where I messed up. I never sent the letter to chase. I havent for any of the other companies I have gotten out of. And even if I did do the ACH, they actually created a check and cleared it that was. It wasnt an ACH debit, it was a posted check that they drafted up.
My issue is I live in Florida but my account was opened in NY. So I am not sure if speaking to a manager in this state helps.
Also, I spoke with a fraud specialist through chase. She said they do not get between payday loans, but suggested I call them directly and deal with them today. Not sure what I say on the phone to fast efunds.

The only possible thing you can do right now to recover the money is to sit down with your bank's branch manager and dispute the charges as unauthorized. Keep pushing the point. That is possibly the last option you have. You can also contact the CFPB and see what they have to say about this, would probably just ask you to file a complaint though.

You're going to need to dispute this with the bank as unauthorized. You will have to sign an affidavit of fraud.

Get this done ASAP. Go to a local branch.

And, close the account and get a new one opened before this happens again.
I very clearly state in the "how to" link that this is one of the tactics that illegal lenders use.

Spoke with Chase fraud and they credited the account back since it was a check that was presented not an ACH. They told me to close account and after a personal check clears, I will do so.
thanks again for all the advice. this is my final pdl settlement.
