Have you ever received a notice from them in the mail? what Who is the creditor? Creditors can make all the demands they want but it doesn't mean they are going to get it, it just means they are pressuring you. Did they say or else, if so what was the or else?

If they call back tell them to send you a copy of the "original" contract with the original lender for you to verify via USPS. Do NOT admit to owing anything. Admitting to a debt by trying to make arrangements can restart the statute, so then they will have another 4 to 5 years to hound you.
