Has anyone had any dealings with the Loan Shop Online? I received a letter from them and at the bottom of the letter it also has the name LTS Management Services. I borrowed $300 and paid them so far $720. I am from Florida.

I don't know where else to look for help with the loanshop taking way more money than what i borrowed! So if anyone has any suggestions please help!!!
In the beginning of January of 2013, I borrowed $750! I was thinking cool i will have them all the way paid back within two and half months! I was definently wrong about that!! It is now the first of April and i called to make sure that they were not going to take any more money out of my account, the young lady on the phone said that they will be continuing to take money from the account for seven more payments of $271.87. I have already paid them $1171.87 and i don't understand how they can take that much money when they only loaned me $750. Right now as it stands i have paid to them $1171.87 and they want to take another $1553.09, bringing the total amount to $2724.96, for loaning me $750!! I don't have money to give away, i have six children and a grandchild to support! The loanshop is a major rip off!!!!! If anyone knows what i can do to get this resolved, PLEASE let me know, I need help!!!!!!!!

I just got done dealing with them. I closed my account and sent them a letter showing my state laws and informed them not to take anymore money from my account. I got a letter from them shortly after saying my account was settled and I no longer owed them money. They were fairly easy to deal with, actually they easiest ones i dealt with thus far. There is a sample letter on this site you can use. If you need the email address let me know I will get it to you.

You can useTHIS (please scroll down to locate letter) template. Tailor this letter to your needs, and try to write it with the same basic concept in your own words. You will need to research and locate email addresses/physical addresses if you don't already have them, I suggest that you type the name of the pdl (example: "oneclickcash address") in the search box in the upper right hand corner of this forum. You may also search for addresses HERE at the Better Business Bureau.

I had them settle immediately today also. However, they wanted me to fax and sign this long drawn out letter filled with legal jargon. They said it was to just show that the issue was resolved. I told them that there was no mention of refunding my money and how that was going to be done, so actually it wasn't resolved, so I'm waiting for a response. The document they wanted me to sign said a lot about not taking it any further, I guess they know that it could be taken much further. I did make complaints with the BBB, FTC, and the Michigan Attorney General. I hope we can get this done ASAP! This site is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll pay that kind of interest if you don't immediately pay the loan in your next pay period. You have to read the agreement. You have to let them know that you wish to pay all of the loan back at once. If not, they will only take the interest, nothing off the loan. The agreement explains this. Don't feel like you've been taken. It's a steep price but worth it if you're broke with bad credit. It's always better to try and get a relative or a friend to loan you the money. But, when times are tough, it may be the way you have to go! Good luck! You can stop the process by making one payment on one date to pay off the loan completely. Again, Good Luck!

I think just about ALL of the PDL's are that way....if you don't pay the entire balance on your next pay, they take a fee. Of course, the fee doesn't come off your loan balance.

Same here-I borrowed $300.00 back in July 2008 and so far have paid them $900 in what they call "rollover fees"

Their legal name is LTS Management.

I ended up changing my telephone number to get them from calling me.

Unfortunately, they still have my work number so I have it set to answeer but not ring.

Lloyd -

we are not a loan company, nor are we affiliated with one. You need to contact the company you borrowed from directly.

However, if you're seeking a payday loan, please reconsider. They're nothing but a trap. We're a community of people that have gotten out of the payday loan cycle and have stayed here to help others do the same. If you need help ending the cycle of payday borrowing, please feel free to start a thread and list the following info:

-state you live in
-number of loans you have
-whether they are internet or storefront based loans
-how much you've borrowed from each one
-how much you've repaid each one (including fees/interest)

Provide that info, and we can help you out of this!

I am a little confused with the above post :?

THE LOAN SHOP - Do you have 2 current loans with them? Please clarify.

NATIONAL CASH LENDERS - overpaid by $550. Request a PIF and refund.

KINGSTON FINANCIAL - only owe $2 and request PIF.

Read HERE on how to deal with ILLEGAL lenders. You need to secure your bank account ASAP!

I have had great dealings with "The Loan Shop Online".. I am pleased with the services they provide. As long as you pay back the loan as agreed in a reasonable amount of time, you shouldn't run into any issues. The loans they provide are not intended to be long term loans. They do not charge "interest" BTW, the fees are only to extend the loan. They are very helpful and informative if you contact them by phone. You can easily locate the number from your bank statement. :)

After reading further via this forum...I realized that maybe the reason why you are paying more in extension fees is because you are extending the loan numerous times. You should not be taking out a PDL if you are not in a position to pay in full in a short amount of time. Pay Day Loans are intended for people that need a quick fix financially and are prepared to pay back what they borrowed in a reasonable amount of time. Any PDL could get out of control if you don't pay back the money "according to your contract". If you can't pay back your loan, contact the company to make arrangments...it totally disgust me to see folks ranting and raving about how payday loan companies are bad when in fact if they weren't around-we all would be in a pickle. I would reccomend contacting them for assistance before filing complaints in effort to get out of the collection calls or fees. Godd day all!

I just had a very, very bad experience with them. They all had attitudes. Customers service was awful, i never raised my voice one of the rep was yelling at me. I am contacting the BBB right now. They need to be taken off the site no one needs to deal with them. They would not tell me who to contact for a complaint. It was awful i've never dealt with any business like that in my life. Bad, Bad customer service

First of all...let me tell you all, that Payday loans are not the way to go. If you absolutely have too, then I guess that is the route you choose, it would be so much better to try and lend money from a friend or family member than to pay back the loan plus a ton of interest.

I have a friend that is employed with LSO...in order for them to process the amount of the loan you have to have your income verified. However, once you are given a loan amount they base the rates of "fees/interest" on the amount YOU make and how often you get paid. Generally it is 15% a week.

If you absolutely have to get a loan with them it is better to pay them off all at once on your first pay back due date. Sometimes they will cut the 'loan fee' in half.

Their main office is in Delaware.

Good Luck!

I'm glad some have had good luck with these people BUT: What if you NEVER had a PDL with them and they suddenly email you saying that you do and are in default? Trust me, they got a good piece of my mind.

They might be easy to deal with, but if you're paying them MORE than you have to, they are probably not exactly on the up and up.

Borrower Be Aware.

They are ILLEGAL in most if not all states. Just remember that. I do not view them as a PDL, I view them more as loan sharks.

I've had two loans with these folks and never had a problem with extensions or payoffs. They have never taken any monies out of my account that they were not entitled to. Except for the exorbitant fee of $300 for processing, they seem to be ok. I have always wondered, though, if there is some federal restricton on processing fees just as there is on interest charged.
