Come on, if you did all that research yourself AND work for a call center you're smart enough to know the next step. Tell the collections agency (via mail or email, do not use the phone) that you will repay the principal. Did you pay anything towards this loan already? If so, deduct what you've paid on the loan already and pay the difference. If they don't accept it, tell them you'll pay nothing then. Make sure you are aware that they bought bad debt and that you are not an uneducated consumer and will not be fooled. Tell them they can sue you for an unenforceable loan, or they can accept the principal balance back on your terms. Their choice.

I guess i was just looking to make sure my research was correct before i start sending out emails. These People are not fun to deal with and i was very upset. But i do appreciate your input.
