I fully intend to pay what I borrowed but charges are eating up my whole paycheck so I was thinking of trying to consolidate them, has anyone done this?

It looks like you have a few loans that may already be paid in full. Please read the sticky at the top of the pay day loan forum. It will be necessary if you can , to close your account and open a new accountat an unrelated bank. We can help you here. Most of us have been in the same boat that you are in now.

Let me stick my two cents in here. From what I have found and my experience with payday loans and debt is one thing if you dont have the credit or the income, DONT DO IT! But too late for that as I found out the hard way just like you. MY credit was above average and I was maxed out and needed some cash and got caught in payday loan trap. Since then my credit has been on a steady downhill tread and bills stacked up while these PDLs collected there fees. The truth is though that there is a way out. It took only two months for me to drown in them. What nobody on this site has bothered mention is that it is gonna take two years or maybe longer to get back to where you were before the payday loans sucked you in UNLESS by some chance you come into a large amount of money to pay them all off. But closing your account is the first step so that way you can pay your bills. Now as for the payday loan consolidation idea...well unless you got good credit and can get a signature loan from a bank or refi your home then you arent gonna find a consolidation service that will help. Now I am speaking with CareOne about my financial needs and like other debt consolidation services they wont handle them UNTIL it has gone into collection and is a negative on your credit report then they will help. Most programs last two years and in the end you will be debt free. Sounds great doesn't it? Well the part they dont tell you is that your credit is not gonna be all that great. All of your accounts will show paid but they will also show that they were delinquent for the majority of the term. You can always dispute anything negative on your credit but they can repost it quaterly for up to 7 years. So now you have to get a copy of your credit report and send more letters and make more calls, etc, etc. and deal with them years down the road even if they were paid in full. There is no cosolidation service for payday loans. Good luck friend.

Oh and the way out is simple. They are overseas so dont worry about them taking you to court. They cant take your house or your car tec. The only thing they can do is ding your credit up with negatives and post you in various check systems so you cant write checks but you can get those resolved. It takes time and phone calls and emails and paperwork and letters. but in the end you will be okay. Get yourself a new checking account with a debit card and you can get around the check systems. work with each one individually to negotiate a settlement and make them put it in writing that they wont report on your credit. However they may want you to pay lots of charges they claim you owe, dont agree to anything that you cant afford to pay. Pay one at a time and move on to the next one. Anyways you can always do like most people here and use the letters they have, I know I did, but bottom line is pay them only what you owed originally not the ifflated crap they say you owe. If they wont give you a written guarantee that they wont report to your credit then dont waste your time with some big settlement, make them sweat the money. Then dispute it on your credit, check your credit periodically to make sure they arent coming back.
