I received a voice mail today from PDM Associates; I believe the name of the company is Phoenix debt management Associates - anyone heard of them? They said if I didn't call back in 24 hours, they'd "proceed without me." (huh?) They were calling on behalf of CMG payday loan who'd apparently somehow got their grubby little fingers into my bank account for biweekly payments (I'd had other payday loans, but I'd never signed up with them) I've been working with the Maryland office of Financial Regulation, and those folks have been a great help to me. I've closed out my bank account and am now receiving "interesting" e-mails and calls! This payday loan is like alphabet soup; the loan is supposedly through CMG, I just received the call from PDM, and a previous e-mail said that my loan was going to be referred to AIS Services! These companies being so shady I doubt anyone will have an address for PDM, but, just curious, DOES anyone have a legit address? Thanks!

Hi there, this is the only info I could find at this forum, hopefully it's the same one you posted about. Below is a link where I found the address. :)

Pachacutec, At the risk of sounding like a jerk, they got their "grubby little hands" on your bank account information because you gave it to someone, most likely over the internet. Their are all kinds of different people in the business. Some take and process applications, some just get applications and sell them to lenders. Some get applications and just rip people off. And yes, they use all kinds of different names.

Did they ever approve you for an loan and did they ever transfer the money into your account? I know that everyone on this site hates IPDL's and I'm not going to try to defend them, but most of the time they do actually put the money into your account if you are approved. That way they can start debiting you account for the fees, which is what they are business to do.

If you really got ripped off, in that they never put the money into your account and just started debiting, I'm sorry.

Yesterday and again today I received a call at work from Reverend Carter from PDM payday loans. I asked him what he was talking about since I have NEVER taken a pay day loan in my life. He proceeded to ask me questions and said he needed to verify my information. I told him that since I had NEVER taken a pay day loan in my life that the information he was trying to verify was obviously not mine. His response - 'oh yeah' then he apologized and hung up. BEWARE, I THINK THIS IS A SCAM TO GET YOUR INFORMATION!!!! The caller ID shows 816-423-8000 and the call back number he left on my voicemail is 866-504-7548.

Madison, if they are legal, why do they refuse to answer questions? They won't even provide me with their address and told me they didn't have to provide me with anything in writing when I mentioned debt validation to them.

They also told me that they had sent something to a county in Utah, but refused to even tell me what it was they sent. They also are claiming to have sent this thing(whatever it is)to a county in Utah that I don't even live in. Maybe they just don't know how to pronounce it correctly.

Legitimate collection agents are willing to answer questions. When I asked them for a license or proof that the company they were trying to collect for was licensed to do business in the State of Utah, their only response was that I didn't care about that when I got the loan.

That is the same answer I get from the illegal PDL companies. I found legal PDL companies to be very cooperative when it comes to making payment arrangements, answering questions, and providing with their address.

Also, I spoke with the Utah Attorney General's office and they have never heard of them and said they are not licensed to collect in the state of Utah. He also advised me not to pay them anything, but to contact the original payday loan company to verify who they sent my loan to.

Sorry Madison if I am accusing wrongly, but perhaps you have worked with them, I mean for them?

I just received a call from PDM, for a PDL I took out and could no longer pay for, with the economy the way it is today things just happen and my hubby and I have had to file bankruptcy, she took my lawyers number and then proceeded to tell me that they would be garnishing my wages and charging me with internet fraud and bad check writing. They will do anything to get you to pay them. My lawyer said they can not do this unless I took the loan out knowing I was going to file bankruptcy and they would have to prove that. The loan was taken out 6 months before we even started to look into bankruptcy and some of the loan was paid back. Here is the street address for the company as I have heard that the PO Box does not exist.
PROFESSIONAL DEBT MANAGEMENT, LLC
d/b/a PDM, LLC
c/o Salvatore Abbott, Registered Agent
7007 NE Parvin Road, Suite 3
Kansas City, MO 64117

They never give you and straight answer all they do is want your account numbers so they can rip money out..i almost lost an entire
paycheck...i closed my number down..do not give them your account numbers-- change everything..make arrangements with a debt consolidation its easier...one payment and its out...

They will not tell which payday loan it is i have 2 that i'm paying out...there not getting my money because they will not tell me anything..i will call the pay day loan direct and make arrangements don't go through these people.

They called me agian and left a voicemail that they would be faxing paperwork to my payroll dept for wage garnishment. I know they can't really do this, but I gave a heads up to the woman in payroll just in case. I am still freaking out a bit about all of these payday loans. I called the PA Dept of banking again and told them about this company. Is there anythign I can do to get them to stop calling? I have already sent cease and deisist and validation letters, but htey have sent me nothing. I am nervous, I am a sinlge mom and am doing my best.

since you are in PA you did good by alerting your payroll.PA is a non-garnishment state meaning even with a court order you can't be garnished.file AG complaints, and get a C&D letter using the address above.send t certified mail return receipt.this is an unlicensed bottomfeeding scuzz that collects exclusively for illegal ipdl's.do not give them a dime.

My sister got a call from these people at her business today saying they were the sheriff's office and they were trying to get ahold of me. When I called them back it was a debt management company on behalf of paydaymax loans. These people kept on saying I owed them more money, although I have paid back my original loan amount several times over. I set up a 2 payment deal with them to clear out my "so-called" balance. I hope I didn't make a huge mistake by paying these people off.

yes you did i'm afraid.this is a bottomfeeder scam pdl collector.i guarantee they will be calling again to collect on this again.rule of thumb:never just pay a debt because a caller says so.next the bigger the threat, most likely a scam as debts are civil matters, and they broke the law in stating they were the sheriff.what they did was illegal, and should have been reported not paid.if you can try to either cancel the method of payment.if by bank acct#close it,and open a new one,if by debit card, cancel it and get a new one issued, either way you are owed a refund from paydaymax as they are not even located in the US.do what you must to stop those payments.then file a police report as they harrassed you.also have your sister do the same as again they broke the law telling her they were law enforcement.then file AG,AND FTC complaints against this scumbag collector.next time demand something in writing and make mental notes of things they say to others.do not believe anyone who calls for a pdl as they will lie and threaten which is illegal.
