I am in the process of closing my checking account because one of thepayday loan companies not sure which one because they sold myinformation and someone took funds out of my account that was notauthorized. I work for the DOD as a civilian and do not need any trouble  at my job. Can you please help me?

I checked the license database of Florida "https://real.flofr.com/ConsumerServices/SearchLicensingRecords/Search.aspx" and found none of them to be licensed in the state. Since they are not licensed, you need to pay them the principle amount only. When you apply for a payday loan and provide them with your bank details, you automatically authorize them to take money from your account. You may check this link http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html for more details on how to deal with illegal lenders.

Hi guest
It is not the matter of stealing money, but a matter of awareness on how to deal with illegal lenders. The thing is that if the PDLs are illegal in the state, the debtor should immediately stop paying them and close their bank account registered with the payday lender. If he closes the account, the creditor cannot continuously debit money which they do not own (like the finance and the interest charges).
