So I need some advice on proceeding towards settling the rest of my PDL's. Out of 9 only 1 has settled, PIF, so far (webpayday). 1 has responded (payday-loan-yes), basically saying the usual BS like I am governed by there laws even though I live in MA, etc. Many of the rest did not respond to my email but sent emails denying me of a new loan, I did not apply for. Below I've listed loan status As of October 25th as well as a summary of what actions I've taken so far.

Here is my PDL Status (I live in Massachusetts)

Company / Current Balance / Originally Borrowed / Paid So Far

PaydayMax / 706.15 / 500.00 / 505.40
Payday Loan Yes / 455.00 / 350.00 / 210.00
InstantcashUSA / 520.00 / 400.00 / 120.00
CashAdvanceNetwork / 520.00 / 400.00 / 480.00
Webpayday / 1200.00 / 800.00 / 1400.00
DiscountAdvances / 582.75 / 420.00 / 141.75
Paychecktoday / 195.00 / 300.00 / 735.00
USfastcash / 325.00 / 450.00 / 1190.00
Oneclickcash / 195.00 / 400.00/ 1180.00

On October 25th I was able to freeze and close my checking account and open a new one. I immediately faxed all PDLS and when I got home emailed all PDLS except for Discount Advances and Paydaymax, because I could not find and email address for either. October 31st is when these payments were scheduled.

On October 29th I filed complaints with the BBB for each company

Below is an update for each PDL company

PaydayMax / 706.15 / 500.00 / 505.40 - No response, can't log in website
Payday Loan Yes / 455.00 / 350.00 / 210.00 - Responded says I owe full amount
InstantcashUSA / 520.00 / 400.00 / 120.00 - Sent me email "denying new loan" and when I log into website status is "deny new"
CashAdvanceNetwork / 520.00 / 400.00 / 480.00 - Sent me email "denying new loan" and when I log into website status is "deny new"
Webpayday / 1200.00 / 800.00 / 1400.00 - Settled Paid in Full
DiscountAdvances / 582.75 / 420.00 / 141.75 - No response, can't log in website
Paychecktoday / 195.00 / 300.00 / 735.00 - Sent me email "denying new loan" and when I log into website status is "deny new"
USfastcash / 325.00 / 450.00 / 1190.00 - no response
Oneclickcash / 195.00 / 400.00/ 1180.00 - no respnse

Should I just wait for responses or should I be doing more. Any help is appreciated.

Thank You
Treenor11

You really only owe three companies by what you posted. You may not hear from the ones who know they are not legal and you have overpaid. I would leave those companies alone for now.

I got the same email from CAN, they are the only ones bothering me right now, they turned me over to Account Receivable Management of Florida, I got my first call from them at work on Thursday 10/30. I immediately sent them a C & D letter by fax. When the guy started yelling I hung up. I do owe them $120 which I am more than willing to pay but they say I owe $420. My original loan was $300.

I am sure we will both get through this, it will just take time. USfastcash and Oneclcikcash should not even have the nerve to contact you as well as paychecktoday!!!!!!! You are so done with them, I would not even look back.

I have a loan with CAN for $400 and I paid them $360. They hit my closed bank account with 4 ACH $400, $120, $120 and $30 on the 31st which open my account back up. I had to talk to the bank again today and they sent it all back and didn't charge me fees, Thank God. What do you think I should do now??

These PDL companies are strange, they work with some people and then turn around and treat others like crap and bombard them with ach debits. I have sent numerous emails to them to settle but they dont want to settle for just the remaining principal they want the full principal ($300) plus the $120 I owe them. I have two companies I have not heard from, one I owe $30 and the other I overpaid by $150.

InstantCashUSA: basically saying contact us now about loan
Payday-Loan-Yes: good ole Tim Atkins saying there is a problem with my checking account
Paychecktoday and CashadvanceNetwork: sent same exact emails each twice today, which I responded all four. Pasted below is my response to Paychecktoday's second email. (I sent same email to Cashadvancenetwork just asked for different refund amount)

Hello,

I've responded to an email you've sent me earlier
today, prior to this one. But I will gladly respond
to this one as well. Your payday loans are illegal in
the state of Massachusetts, all I am obligated to pay
is the principle which I've overpaid by $435.00.
Please send refund as paper check to:
My Address

If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will
file a complaint with the Massachusetts Attorney
General, and inform them of the fact that you tried to
debit my account after I revoked ACH authorization,
which violates federal law.
Pasted below your email that I am replying to is the
copy of the email which was sent to you via email and
fax on Saturday October 25th, 2008

I am in a trap (12 internet loans, live in Florida) and would like to ask you how you started the whole procedure. Did you close your bank account?? I have been studying this site all day and I need to know where to start. I have my whole checks being taken, cant pay my bills. I just want to start over. I want to pay them, have every intention on doing so, but I need to take control of the situation. Any advice would be appreciated.

crysrose if you will start a new topic with the following information I am sure someone will assist you in making a good plan of action:

-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.
I'm sorry to tell you this, but there is only one sure way to stop the withdrawals, and that is to close your account. If that isn't an option, then tell the bank to put a hard debit block on your account. Before you close your account, read this information at the link below. http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html

Please do not let any of these pdl's know you are going to close your account, until AFTER you have done it!

I live in Florida, they are all internet. I know this is a mess!!

Aero Advance Loan $500 paid $100 biweekly since 5/23/08

B&L Marketing now Pack Mgt 6/2 $300 paid $75 biweekly since

Cashnet usa $500 just got paid nothing

Eastside lenders $ 400 paid $120

Cash today limited $225 on 9/10 paid $270

Sonic payday $400 paid nothing yet

Payday loan yes 9/19 $350 paid $315

E payday 9/17 $350 paid $315

my cash now $500 paid $152

MTSVCSMONEYTREE $500 paid $375

Us fast cash 8/19 $300 paid $410

Paydaymax $340 paid $476

Paycheck today $300 paid $270

I am not trying to get out of these, take full responsibility, but I am to the point that I cannot pay my bills. I have been looking for a part time job. I am so afraid that I will lose my job, I work for the state, have a decent job, just got caught up in this trap. I have had my bank account since 1997 with Wachovia and they are sometimes wishy washy and my checks are direct deposited. I have been on this site all day yesterday trying to figure out how to go about handling this mess Ive created for myself. I cant decide if I wanted to hire a company or handle this myself. I have until 11/21 that's when everything will hit the fan. I just got paid on 11/6, but I am broke, kept getting money to cover these fees. As I am looking at all this money that I have wasted on these stupid loans, I just want out of this!!

Have you tried emailing the compliance department at these 2 instead of costumer service? I had to email both of them serveral times but they responded. I think that they probably just annoyed with me. I think that I email one or twice a day for about 4 days and than they responded. Cash Advance said that would write it off and close my account and one click just said that they were closing my account and that I could not get a loan with them again.

Webpayday, Oneclickcash and USfastcash have marked my account as "Paid in Full" in response to my complaints to the Better Business Bureau.

Also, Below is an update on any more information I have on the rest of my accounts.

Paychecktoday: when I log into website it says my account has been "written off". I'm not too sure what that means

Discount Advances: No info

Paydaymax: No Info

Payday-Loan-Yes: No Info

Instant Cash Usa: ACA Recovery sent me debt collection letter for this account in the amount of $675.00 (originally borrowed 400.00, paid back 280.00)

Cash Advance Network: when I log into website it says my account has been "written off". I'm not too sure what that means

Any help on how to proceed is much appreciated
