Well, I have gained a lot of knowledge and courage to face my pay day loan hades. I never thought I could get so tangled up.
The store front ones I have almost paid off. It's the Internet ones that, as usual, are giving me the grief.
I live in Arizona. Below is a list of my creditors: (it's a long one too  ) I have also included amount of principle and amount paid back as I know right now.

1.) United Cash Loan (800-279-8511) $300 loan, have paid $360.00 in fees through 4 renewals

2.) Cashnet USA (888-801-9075) $500 loan, have paid $300 in fees for several renewals. I did call these people since they seem to be the only ones licensed to do business in Arizona. They want to settle for $722.00 and I can make three payments, BUT they want my bank info.

3.) 500Fast Cash (888-919-6669) $300 loan, unsure what I've paid, still looking into it.

4.) Eastside Lenders (866-569-6636) $300 loan, paid $180 in fees for two renewals

5.) Money & More (800-397-3845) $255 loan, nothing paid on my end

6.) Payday Online (800-928-3161) $300 loan, paid some, but unsure of amount at this time.

7.) Impact Cash (800-707-0102) $300 loan, no payments by me

8.) Payco (866-575-0400) $300 loan. This one never sent me any copies of paperwork, claimed they were based and regulated by the laws of England. paid $90 on one renewal

9.) Fast Cash/Payday Loan Yes (800-550-6051) $350 loan made one renewal, looking up what I paid.

10.) Geneva Roth Ventures/Ambassador (800-351-8820) $400 loan, paid $240 total on two renewals.

11.) my cash now (866-392-2274) $500 loan, working with National Credit Adjusters to pay this one off for less than loan amount. Only regret is that I gave them my new bank info. I will say though that this is the only CA that has sent me paper work regarding everything surrounding this debt: the validation, our payment arrangements... so I feel more comfortable than I would otherwise. Still, that won't happen again!

12.) National Payday (877-807-4827) $300 loan, have paid $450 in fees on renewals

13.) MTE Financial (866-702-0267) $300 loan unsure of what I've paid at this moment.

yeah, 13 of them! I already closed my bank account and had a legal firm send out a revoke authority to debit (?) letter. Some of these firms are just down right crooks from what I've read. I am curious as to other peoples experience in settling with the above companies. Obviously, I cannot pay them ALL at once, some will have to wait a few months.
Should I contact the lender directly myself or deal with the CA? From what I've read concerning Arizona Law, I have to pay only the principle back, correct? How should I handle the ones where I've paid more than enough in fees already?
I am getting some calls at work, but it is a direct line to me and goes to voicemail. What bothers me is the calls to my Mom who is out of state. Can I issue an C & D letter to cover her? It is only a couple of them bothering her.

Thanks for any insight.

Doing more research, I came across this.

Payday One is a Texas company that offers loans under multiple portfolios.

and this concerns the following lenders I have: AIP (Cash Relief, LTD) (Payco),
Money and More, Impact Cash USA, Geneva Roth Ventures (LoanPointUSA), my cash now (Credit Protection Depot), NationalPayday.com)

I am doing more research as Payday One does have a license to do business in Arizona. They are based in Fort Worth

Can anyone here offer any insight? Something does sound fishy though on this information as I know Payco claimed I was agreeing to terms of a contract under English laws.
I still think I should contact each lender individually, right?

Checkmate is the last store front one I have not paid anything on. They want me to pay it all off and I can always take it out again... Well, no, that's how I got here to begin with.

So, from what I have read, Cashnet is the only legal one in Arizona. A few of the others are already paid in full from the renewal cycle I went through with them. Does anyone think I can negotiate down the amount I need to pay Cashnet? My balance right before default was $450 including fees.
Regardless, Cashnet will be the one I work with first, then move on to the others

Ask Cashnet for an EPP, you are entitled to one in a 12 month period. I am paying them right now in 3 payments on a $500 laon. The first payment was 196.09 and the next two are 196.08. When you are put on this plan all fees stop. I have already made the first one and will make the second on 10/31

Right now direct debit. They are legal and licensed so I am not worried about them taking more than they are allowed. When I am finished with them and my other legal pdl's this account will be closed. I have opened a new account at a different bank for my direct deposits and paying my real bills. When their payment hits on Fridays my account is in the red until I physically go to the bank and put their money in before close of business on Friday night. Its a pain going to the bank every other Friday but I am almost done with them. I have always maintained two checking accounts at BofA and I am really fortunate that all of my ipdl's had my other account number so I was able to close that one and just keep this one open for the legal ones. If they Ipdls would try to get into this account the bank would have to reverse the charges since they are not authorized. I have been lucky so far so maybe I can get through this whole process without any problems.

Another question. Some accounts are being handled by CA already. I have phone numbers so I can look up addresses and sometimes fax numbers to send them C & D letters, but I am not sure who they are working for and how do I identify myself? I am loathe to give out my SSN to these people. Suggestions?
Thanks

I have not dealt with any CA yet so I really cant answer your question but from what I have read on this board they really dont identify themselves when they call they just demand money from you in outrageous ways!!!! If you know they are calling about an illegal pdl hang up, if it is about a legal one I am sure they can look you up by your name and if you call them your name or phone number should be sufficient.

Payday online.com, is their address still at :

1201 N. Orange St.
Wilmington, DE 19801
fax: 800-970-5311 :?:

They called my boss today with their "This is officer Rameriz" routine.

also, does anyone know who GRC Funding is? I cannot match up that debit entry in my bank statements with anyone. I know Ambassador is Geneva Roth, but GRC is an unknown right now.

Thanks

Edit: man I love this site! Okay, I just found out that GRC is indeed the same Geneva Roth I mention above. So, it appears they were double dipping from my account? Unless someone knows who Ambassador belongs too? I did find two seperate entries for deposits and withdraws: one from Ambassador and one from Geneva Roth CAP.
