Many of these companies just will not respond to written communication. When there bullying doesn't work they turn to a third party collector. Then you refuse to pay them because the loan was illegal in the first place.

I send a letter/fax stating that I have informed them to contact only via email/usps per the Attorney General's office, and then I give them the contact information to the Department of Financial Institution about payday loan companies. This has worked for 3 loans, they give up and go away
