I had a PDL with MCN taken out June of this year. Apparently KY state legistlation changed around the 25th of June (according to the department of financial institutions) and any PDL taken out after this date no longer requires KY residents to even repay the principle of internet PDL's since they are illegal in our state. This loan was of course taken after this legislative change took place.
I received an email from MCN today indicating that they would settle for principle only being repayed, but they stated it must be in one lump sum payment and anything less would not be accepted?
I'm not opposed to working with them, but, my PDL's got me very behind on my normal bills and I need to get them caught up first. Does anyone know anything about MCN or dealt with them on a similar situation in the past.

MCN is the lender (My Cash Now). Yes, they are an internet lender. I also found out the in the state of KY residents are not permitted to have more than 2 PDL's for a total of $500. In addition, internet PDL's are illegal. If they want my money they'll have to work on my terms, I guess?
I noticed that you are a moderator - what does that mean? Are you affiliated with this website to provide advice?

I actually took out a loan with MYCASHNOW this month and I'm wondering why they even let me if the legislation has changed? Can anyone let me know where I can obtain copy of the updated law?
Thanks!
