sorry - PA - I put that in my other post and forgot to on this one. THese are all internet lenders.

When were these taken out? PA laws changed this year and prohibited payday loans. How much was borrowed and how much was paid back? We can help you, we just need as much information as possible to help you.

Some of them were recent - Like in june, July, Aug and some as far back as last December. THe CashnetUSA one must be legal because as of last month they told me they are no longer allowed to make loans in Pa and were only charging me $200/pay until it was paid off with no interest or fees. The Cashtransfercenter one is the type you payoff fully before you take out the next. So that one is reissued every 2 weeks for $900 and then they take out $1143 when it is due.

I too took out some payday loans on the internet. I have paid the majority of them but there are some that are ridulously high. The most I ever borrowed was 300.00 but according to them I owe them like 350, I have been paying on these for months, months it seems like and the balance has not gone down. Because of all of this, I too had to put stop payments on all of my payday loans because it was getting to where they were taking all my money out. I also was getting NSF's. My bank worked with me and we got it to where I could close my account. Just recently, (8-26-09) I had a company call me(which is untracable because when you call the number that comes up on caller ID, it says it was disconnected or changed) I just paid them 550.00. The guy said it was for a Law firm of Cashnet. I did have a loan through CashnetUSA but I thought that was paid off, because I had set up payment arrangements, the loan amount was only for 300.00 so where did they get 550.00?? According to the guy today I should have the documents in 2 working days which will make it Monday.

What can I do... Because the beginning of August I lost my job and have no income.

i am not sure when the laws in PA changed so the one from December might fall under the old law.. but again i am not sure 100% on this.

the majority of mine are $300 loans - except for the Cashtransfercenters one that is $900 but paid off every 2 weeks at $1143. I don't have the excat numbers right now because my husband closed the account and is not speaking to me - since I did all this without his knowledge.

it seems like you overpaid on these loans? i am really not sure of the laws in PA to know if they are legal or not :(
