Hi all, I'm in over my head with internet PDL's here in Ohio. It's getting hard to stay current on rent, car note, and utilities. Looking for a way out of this trap......

One Step Cash: $450 (no payments yet)

East Side Lenders: $300 (paid $270 in refinance fees)

Cash Net Usa: $450 (have setup payment plan)

Cash Transfer Centers: $300 (will owe $390 this Friday)

Payday One: $500 (will owe $575 on 11/24)

Pack Management/B&L: $200 (paid $720 in refinance fees)

one question what state are you in?that would help alot in determining your next move.

okay, here is the deal.it looks like only PAYDAY ONE and CASHNET USA are legal.no other pdl on your list is legal.your sure you paid nothing to CASHTRANSFERCENTERS.they are not located in this country.either way every pdl except for the two mentioned above you owe the principle borrowed nothing more.
you owe EASTSIDE 30.00.so just get your bank squared by next week and we can go from there.

I haven't paid anything to CashTransfer, I would owe them $390 tomorrow (original loan amout was $300). My only issue is that my direct-deposited check for tomorrow will go to payoffs and refinance fees of these places that are not legal. Reason being, my bank cannot put an ACH hold on my account by tomorrow, unless I'm just not speaking to the right person there....... In any case what would be my next step with these illegal lenders, wage letter? I've already had my employer stop my direct-deposit after tomorrows paycheck and I have another bank that I have new account at.............

Thank you everyone for you help. I went to the branch manager yesterday and was able to block the transactions from those companies who are illegal, paycheck is saved!! I'm going to setup an ACH hold for the account today. What would be the next step to take with these illegal companies because I know the phone calls will start soon? Do I send out letters? Let my payroll dept know? With the ACH hold in place is it necessary to close my account? Sorry for all the questions at once.

i would inform your payroll dept.cashtransfercenters is famous for pushing through WAGE ASSIGNMENTS which are voulntary and revocable.as wssup said send a moeny order to eastside once your money is under control.also try to work something out with your two legal ones as they can take legal actions to collect.i'm so glad you got the account taken care of.that is the first step to taking control back.

rx8canon, I live in Ohio and have whittled my payday loans from 10 down to 4. I am looking for a legitimate debt consolidation place to put these 4 into because these are the ones that I have to keep renewing in order to pay them AND my bills. I will tell you now that consumer credit counseling services (CCCS) in Ohio will NOT accept payday loans in their debt consolidation program any longer. They took my personal loans and medical bills but would not take the PDL. So I thought I would save you a step in contacting CCCS in Ohio.

Check you Yellow Pages and call evereyone. If they are aking you to pay a fee, then run fast. There are other services out there that will not charge you.

I also looked at the CCCS website for Ohio and it does not state that they will not take cash advances, but only that most will not work with them. I would push them to include store front loans in your proposal, especially with the new regs going into place. Also, when urging them to include, provide them with a Corp telephone numbers, not a store number. As I stated in another thread, you will be surprised what can happen if you call corp verses speaking to the store personel or district manager. These folks usually have thier "hands tied". I know when I was a Regional Manager with one of the "Big 3", we would not allow those decisions by anyone other than VP or directly in Collections Dept.

PDL Owner, Thanks for the advice. I was looking online for a legitimate debt consolidation place that will take my PDLs and not charge a fee. I actually thought about calling CCCS again and seeing if they will take these last remaining 4. Since I've been in the program with them, I am hoping they say yes. Thanks for the advice too about giving them corp phone #s as opposed to the local stores. Two of my PDLs are local and the other 2 are online ones. Thanks again.

Ok, got my bank account straight, the ACH blocks were extremely last minute but they worked. CashNetUSA and PayDay One, have allowed me to setup payment plans.

As for the others, what would be the first step of action? Wage letters sent? And I'm guessing I do owe the just the principle of the others??

What magic word did you say to get PayDay One to work with you? I have tried and they won't. Did you block their ACH and then they decided to work with you?

If that is the case then I think that is what I am going to have to do. I have tried to talk with them and they won't make arrangements but my loan is not due until 11/21.

Well, I called them before my loan was due and told them I needed to inquire about an EPP. "You have been a loyal customer since '07 and we really appreciate it. We will work with you to get the loan taken care of and paid off" (that's what they said), so maybe that was a factor in their decision. My loan would be due on 11/24. I didn't block them since I was told that they were legal in Ohio.

Question, should I discuss payment arrangements with the illegal lenders on the phone or through email? I got an email from OneStepCash about my returned payment and they want me to "call them to discuss ways to bring my account current as soon as possible"

Update - They just left me a voicemail about wanting to setup a $100 a month payment plan. I'm wondering if the new Ohio laws is why........

PHone number 866-943-6712
Fax number 866-943-6714
I have not found an address for this company or where they are located. If I am correct I think they are the sister company to M1Y Direct out of Nevada.
