I have recently signed up with Progressive Debt Relief for my PDLs. I have three storefronts, and all three have told me in no uncertain terms that they do not work with consolidators. The lady at Progressive said that they are just saying that, that they will work with them. I'm in MS and have loans at Advance America, Quick Lend, and Express Check Advance. AA and Express are CFSA members. My question is- who's telling the truth? Progressive or the PDL lenders? I'm kind of worried because a guiy at Express I just talked to was like "Well in the contract you signed you promised to pay. You could go to court" Please helP!

bottom line is they will work with anyone who pays them, they prefer not to work with a 3rd party because they know they will not get the full amt back plus their obscene fees. still, most of them have access to your checking account if you don't pay and its probably buried in the paperwork you signed. but you can always close that bank account and re-open another one, even at the same bank

I closed my bank account and re-opened. I explained to the bank what happened and they were very sympathetic and helpful.

I didn't try EPP because I had done it back in Aug with AA and thought you could only do it once every 12 months. I did not try it with Express. Of course I told AA I was working with a debt consolidator and they offered to put me on an EPP because they (like the other two) have said that they don't work with a debt consolidator. I told the lady I have been working with at Progressive that, and she said that AA has worked with them before, so they could probably get a better settlement or payment plan.

I just dont want anyone to try to take me to court!
