Is it possible to change references?
Date: Fri, 08/21/2009 - 12:18
I also know that they will probably hound my references no matter what. My initial thought was that if they can get a hold of me then they have no reason to call anyone else, but after reading numerous posts......They don't live by the rules and will try to make my life miserable. Is this a fair assumption?
The internet companies I am dealing with are:
My Cash Now
United Cash Loans.com
Cash Central
Cash net. USA
Ameriloan

You could try it, go back into your account info and see if you can access and change the info. You have nothing to lose by trying.

MyCashNow and CashNet.USA don't have access to update that info. I'm not really sure that info was ever given to be honest. I also agree that they probably have the info archived anyway. And YES, I doubt the employees are smart enough to figure it out.

i tried right before i defaulted on a few online pdl and it wouldnt let me change my refrences info. i know for sure cashnetusa and paydayone. cashadvancenetwork. and paychecktoday. but i remember ace cash express i could change the info.
i can say though i work for an auto finance company and when customers go online and change their info, addresses and phone numbers etc.. the system automatically saves the old information so we can go back and see when and what they changed it to. not sure if illegal payday companies use the same technology.

I kind of figured that would be the case. Information is never truly erased, just moved to a different place for future reference. Thanks for the info.

i would say at least try. i am pretty sure they save the information though.. i would give your references a heads up, because if they avoid those calls when they see them on caller ID, they might stop calling them after awhile.. some companies are more aggressive than others, you never know.
