Vikas: Please read http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/pub/about14166.html as well. |
Today as I was googling 'illegal payday loans' I ran across a website called www.cashadvancecare.com and I noticed quite a number of similarities between the website that I was on, and www.debtconsolidationcare.com. I started looking around, and notice how very similar the format was, and how the administrator named 'clark' signs his threads 'regards'.
I proceeded to pull a who is report and this is the information that I found:
128 Forest Hill Road
Kalispell, MT 59901
This address can also be found on cashadvancecare.com's contact us page.
THIS IS A FICTITIOUS ADDRESS!
Addresses start at 130 Forest Hill Road, as there is a mobile home community directly north. http://gis.mt.gov/
The who is report for this website lists the phone number for this website as being 406-756-8680, which belongs to a lady named Jean Shaw who lives quite aways North of this fictitious address.
I proceeded to view the privacy report which indicated that there is an image being used from .visitlab, owned by 'Vikas'.
Essentially Vikas owns cashadvancecare.com where he uses similar business practices as he does here, in that he is getting paid a referral bonus from Payday Loan Companies when people join that website.
Then, the poor souls who use that service can potentially come over here where Vikas can get paid for yet another referral from a debt consolidation Company.
I am certain that I am not the only one who sees the HYPOCRISY in this playing for both teams type of business. I cannot in good conscience continue to give one more moment of my time to this website, knowing the things that I have learned today.
Vikas, you may revoke the title of moderator from me, and remove my blog from your server.
To all of my cyber fam. I will miss you tremendously.
To everyone I will search and find in the very near future a new venue to promote ending PDL's, and helping people who are in trouble with PDL's. Just google pollyandsay and in time you will find me.
Peace to all of you.

Well I should say SO! I would not even begin to compare someone owning a website and some how misleading "followers" to being like Jim Jones! We are not being "held" here or made to participate in something we don't believe in or want. Everyone is here because they are choosing to---not because their "leader" is tricking them into it.

Mike,
I respectfully disagree completely with your J analogy also. Polly is hurt because she feels she has been lied to.
Vikas has not responded to my earlier questions about what he uses for names on the other 2 sites. I think at this point he owes us all that explanation and yes they probably need to have a heart to heart but I honestly don't think that's going to happen - I'll be suprised if it does.

Can you show one instance to prove your point? If you can prove that Vikas did something wrong with everyone here, I will be the first one to step back from this forum and stop favoring Vikas.
Also, we need to understand the mental trauma of Vikas as well as Polly. This may be the reason either of them is not posting immediate responses here. We need to make both of them comfortable rather than putting them in panic.

JJ---I agree with you---regardless of what Vikas has or has not done, this forum still has value and purpose, largely in part to the direction of Vikas and the participation of its faithful membership.

Wow, I have to agree with Polly on this. It all looks a little suspicious. Why would you own a domain and leave it unattended when you aim to do something good with it? I may be new to this sight, but everything here has been a great help to me so far, now I am doubting why I am here and if the cause is just.
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Polly to respond, Andy.

Well, if I can post here.. I was following this thread for a while and didn't want to post anything being dumb. But I had the answer to this one..

Everything cannot be done at the same time. Just think for a while, can you shop and at the same time do other household things. Even if both of them in the priority, you will attend to something one at a time.
And, booking a domain and not attending to it doesn't prove anything bad. Lots of work was done for the improvement of this site. So, it can be understood a little what kept someone busy not attending to other site even if it was for good purpose. Just my two cents..

Folks....
I never stated Vikas was up to no good. All I said was, sorry Andy,it was Fins remark, that some how it's
believed that some guy that owns a website cares about you. That I stated was a dangerous thought!
Vikas can do as he wishes! This is his domain,as are the others in question. We are just visitors.
I apologize if I offended anyone who felt they
were being "cared" about by Vikas.

Gretchin, I understand what you are saying, however if I go shopping and abandon my housework the evil there is that I live in a sty and am embarrassed to have friends over. Would you agree that if you owned a 7-11 and bought a AM/PM you would leave one of them unattended because one was more of a priorty than the other? What, if anything (innocent until proven guilty, right), Vikas/Clark has done is hurt a valuable member of this site, and cast doubt on his good intentions. I think that based on the new findings of Polly, if Vikas is being honest about the other site he should temporarily shut it down until he is ready to pursue it and give the Grameen Bank a go, then pull the new & improved site back up giving credibility to his version of the situation, and keeping the other site from being a dumping ground for stupid spammers. ok, let me ammend my statement, then....
sorry for being so "naive" as to assume that Vikas could possibly care about the people on his forum. Some of us who post a lot have a lot of history here, and we've helped Vikas whenever we could.
He cares about this site, does he not? He must! So..He wants to keep us happy so the site runs well. And I'm sure he appreciates what we do for him..So maybe, just maybe, that means he may care just a little bit about us.

paulisgirl,
You have a point. If you / I were in this situation, we would have made that kind of decisions for sure. Vikas has asked for six months for the new site to come up before shutting it down. Then, he said about the community voting stuff where we can decide if it should stay online or not.
He asked for some time and he is working on it to give the new look. The site has to be active to undergo the construction work, I think. Decisions cannot be made when something is on repair. It will change everyday. Six months!! (Personally speaking, I will wait for it IF it is really for good purpose.)
I was on the web and saw the RSS feed about this discussion. :) I was in the mood to do some online shopping giving out huge bargains. DebttCC caught me at this discussion.

Gretchin, I am not sure how website construction happens, perhaps you are right. 6 months is not a long time, however I do have a suggestion for Vikas if he is sincere about having good intentions about the new site, please just follow through and get it going within the 6 months that you've asked Polly(and the rest of us) to give you, or get someone to help you keep the ugliness of the other site. I love this site and it has been a great help to me. I like that everyone here seems to really care for one another, and even us new comers feel welcomed. I would hate to see this togetherness come apart at the seams. Thanks
Paulisgirl, The togetherness will not come apart at the seams.
Paulisgirl,
The togetherness will not come apart at the seams..There are too many of us old regulars who will never let that happen.

Well, I've read this entire thread. I have a few thoughts, bear with me.
First, I love this site. It saved my life. I have never been "emotionally" attached to Vikas. I am grateful to members of this site who provided me with INVALUABLE information and assistance. I would not be who I am today without your help.
Second, I will be more careful now with what information I give to people here. I know many of us cash in our DebtCC points, and I can't help but think that one day, we're all going to get robbed via the Paypal system or something because of some shady website owner gone bad. (Don't know if that is possible, but its just a thought).
Finally, I don't want to "take sides" in this matter, although I have gained more personally from Polly. I don't think Polly and Vikas are "against" each other, I just think Vikas may be involved in something either shady or previously shady, and its causing doubts in all our minds.
I'm not going to stop posting. I feel so good every time I get a PM from someone thanking me for helping them. Just today I got one from someone who had 12 PDL's and is now down to 7 because of the information I provided her. That is why I'm here. To help people the way I was helped back in March/April. I'm not here for Vikas. I'm here for those in need of financial guidance.

I'm not ashamed to be emotional. YES I AM emotional. I'm very emotional.
Roadmaster, you're being ridiculous. I believe that Vikas cares about me, but if he told me to "drink the kool-aid" I would NOT! Caring about people is a little different from running a cult. And who cares if he cares or not? I'm not here for him, I'm here for those who need my help. And I'm here for my friends--(You guys/gals know who you are.)
I became involved in this community..Not withVikas. I care about Vikas, and the rest of the people that run this site behind the scenes, but in particular I care about the MEMBERS of this site. If vikas would have never posted in this site, I believe I would be here anyway.
When I came here I was a MESS...I was paying out entire paychecks in PDL fees. And in the process I made real honest to God friends with people here. No one in my home life can understand what I was going though. I had to do it solo. Someone who hasn't had their life ripped apart by their mistakes can not in any way understand. I couldn't have done it without my "Friends"
I'm not going anywhere. I'm going to be here, and I will continue to be emotional.

This is the PUB, and it's use is exactly that. No information need be exchanged here, other than normal, everday communication between friends.
Sorry that you don't get the warm fuzzies on this forum, perhaps you're best suited to one of the other message boards.
Alot of these people are MY FAMILY! They would bail me out of jail without question, if need be!
It's perfectly healthy to be somewhat emotional at times and we are not ashamed to shared that.
As far as the "Jonestown" comment, I'm not even going to dignify that with an answer!
