question about letters and PPL's

What type of letter did you send? What did you state in the letters?

When did you send it? How was it sent - email or certified? They sometimes take a long time to reply. Be careful though, some of the pdl companies are monitoring these boards.

Just got off the phone with Apple Fast Cash they have sent me a certified letter stating that my account is PAID IN FULL yeah. I did ask for a refund, I have paid $1500 on a $400 loan. Don't know if I am getting that or not but at least paid in full is a step forward......

me pate, if they close your account consider it good. Refunds while nice are an extra bonus.

Mepate- I also live in TX and I sent those letters yesterday as well. I actually faxed the letters in to the companies and requested that they send me an actual letter in the mail stating my account was paid in full, as well as requiring an email response within 24 hours. One of the places responded in email within 2 hours, the other one sent me an email that I got this morning.

I just got an email from united saying that the account was marked paid in full also.
I had to call both places and was on hold for a while but must say that both people i talked to were very friendly.....

This is good news that the lenders are now marking the accounts as 'paid'. Stick to your moves and get everything in writing. Make sure that you get this done before paying excessive charges. JJ said correct! Getting refunds will be like an additional bonus.

mepate---Accept those paid in fulls and consider them your REFUND. I know its not real, but it is like a gift of sorts that you don't have to deal with them anymore. Great news.

yes, it is a gift to get a paid in full or even a write off. It's a clean slate. I haven't gotten any refunds either but I was not looking forward to getting any. I have gotten 7 pdl's paid in full. I feel blessed for that

isent and email and letter to united and one click for loan history and what i've paid so far. and also sent an email to united after checking my bank statments, staing i wasn't paying anymore than what was left. which is only 145 and not 400. stil haven't heard anything from them.

i agree totally about the paid in full status. I am happy for that. IF I get a refund that would be great but it feels like a pay raise or something already just not having to have that deducted anymore.....
