I am interested in obtaining information on getting credit/debt consolidation. I myself (not with my husband) have 3 store credit cards (Kays Jewelers, Lowes, and Victorias Secret), 3 credit cards (Chase Visa, Mastercard, and a discover card. My husband and I also have a personal loan, as well as family loans to repay. I would like some information on what needs to be done. I was old, but am not sure about this, but if you use the debt consolidation services that you are no longer able to use that card again. I don't want to close all of them. I would probably keep the lowes, victorias secret, and mastercard (lowest limit line). But I would like to have a lower payment than paying all these different. If you could contact me anytime after 5:00 that would be great.

When you put the accounts in the consolidation plan, a specific payment plan is fixed and you are required to make monthly payments till the accounts get paid off. During this time, the accounts are 'frozen' so that you don't build in additional debt on it. But, once everything is paid off, you will be able to use those cards again. It's just for the specific period that you have to live without those accounts and this is done for good reasons of making your consolidation program successful. Talk to a counselor who will clear all your queries before getting started with the plan.
