A Lawgistix Employee's Perspective
Date: Thu, 08/31/2006 - 06:28
In order for any program to work, there has to be communication from both parties. Lawgistix prefers written communication in order to protect both the company and the client. Having written proof of a request or concern helps us verify that it was addressed appropriately and in a timely manner. However, any call into the company is answered, unless it is after hours, the staff person is away from his/her desk, or the staff person is already on the phone. Communication is a very important factor in having a successful experience with Lawgistix. Updates on accounts, informing us of harassment, etc. has got to come from the client. Unfortunately, we are unable to read minds and know when an account has charged off or has begun calling a client’s home or place of employment.
Once adequate information has been obtained from the client, then we are able to move toward alleviating the creditor harassment. Once adequate funds are accumulated, the Settlement department is able to move toward negotiations.
Consistently fulfilling the client’s obligation to Lawgistix is the most important step in the program. If the client neglects to send in statements, make payments, and inform us of harassment and where it is coming from, we are unable to do our jobs efficiently.
I have no doubt that the persons making claims against Lawgistix feel they were treated wrongly. However, I urge them to take a deeper look into their own experience with Lawgistix and gauge their communication with the company in reference to the work that was done. A lot of clients are unaware of the vast amount of work done behind the scenes. We do our best to keep the clients informed, but would rather notify the client of some substance rather than notify them that messages had been left with the creditors.

I am a client of Lawgistix's firm from FL. I have now to date two judgments sent to me one at home and one sent to my hubby's work on accounts that Lawgistix is supposed to be handling. I recently lost my job and was going to settle all my accounts with Lawgistix with my retirement that I cashed in but then got hit with two judgments that literally drained my account and now I cannot even afford the 60% discount guarantee that they promise as all my money has gone to settle the accounts for judgment (which they will not settle once it is in this stage). So much for the big savings. I could have filed bankruptcy for $700 instead I have already paid out over $15,000 just to settle my judgments when my original sign up for savings for all my accounts was $11,000. Now what do I do??? Greatly, greatly, greatly depressed over all of this... being unemployed then losing my retirement to judgments??!?! How would you feel. I have been emailing Lawgistix daily trying to prevent the second judgment from happening by asking what the status of the account was but no one returned my emails, voice mails, etc until after I received the second judgment letter that is a whopper. It is larger than all my accounts together could be settled for in the initial promise of 60% reduction.
What can you do when it has gone this far?
Any suggestions... Flat Busted Broke
Lawgistix experience...
I signed a contract with lawgistix/forecast financial about 3 years ago.
It has been the worst experience of my life. The police actually came to take all of my belongs because Lawgistix didn't do their job and meet their end of the contract. Now that it's all said and done, I had to pay an additional $7,000 more then I was even originally in debt for.
I wouldn't recommend that anyone do business with them. Furthermore, if your in the state of Michigan and you have had a judgement passed against you, get help from a real attorney NOW! The policy will come to your house and take everything you own to collect on that judgement! Oh my god. How could lawyers be so irresponsible?
If you guys have copies of your contracts, you have a claim for malpractice against these guys. Heavenly I feel so bad for you. Both of you lost so much but Heavenly you are going to have to pay taxes on top of that retirement account! I don't want you to be depressed more, but you should know what you are looking at so you can be prepared for it.
Both of you have serious claims and possible civil suits against these guys. Check with an attorney in your local area and start finding out what your recourse is. This is serious, irreparable damage.

And what you also might want to do is put out feelers and see if anyone else had the misfortune to suffer like you guys did, and then approach a lawyer together. This would help you file a class action suit, which would lead to a bigger payout, with everyone in the "class" sharing equally.
