debt validation Letter and how can that help?

thanks

When you are contacted by a collection agency who is trying to collect on a debt. You want them to prove to you that they own the debt they are trying to collect on. So you can prepare a letter asking them to validate the debt. Most legit agency will send you something in the mail anyway.

Go through this link for understanding the debt validation concept.

The collectors are forced to follow the legal norms after receiving the letter in which you seek to know about your account or have marked it disputed. The collectors are bound to give the accurate info after receiving your validation letter. See this link for understanding the complete process in legal terms.
