I just received emails from Paydayok and Paydayselect forgiving my $500 loans from each of them!!!! Thanks to all you that made this possible. I used your form letters and advice to get this accomplished!!

Angie,
what letters do you need? I set up a new page at http://thehub.yesdebtfree.org and put simple templates on there that will do the trick for you. You don't have to be lengthy to get through to them, feel free to copy and paste any of them. I also did a tips page, please read it before you do your letters, they will help you also. good luck!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help and support. I have been beating myself up over this and feeling totally crappy about the hole situation. I felt like an idiot and even worse for dragging my mother into it. When we decided to close our checking accoutn and open a new one I felt worthless. Without the support and help of you and all the others I don't know how I would be makiing it through. thanks again!

There is no such thing as a form to send . . . . Plus using template letters is never the best idea. You should put things into your own words, do your own research into things, and go from there.

When you send the same letter off a website as a bunch of other people how do you think that makes you look to that company? They've already recieved that exact same letter from 30 other people! It makes you look like you have no idea what is really going on, and just did a search online and found a letter.

The best way to go about this is read multiple threads, look at multiple peoples opinions, research your state laws, talk to people at your states banking dept to make sure you are interpreting the laws correctly, then start the letter writing.

The template letters are good examples, so I think they do play a useful part. Some folks don't even know where to begin, these examples can be very useful. I used the templates, but used my own words, it worked out well for me. I appreciate what your saying goudah, I think they would be better referred to as example letters.

I agree, they do come in handy. Some people have no idea how to even start the letters.

The reason I don't like template letters is because some people misinterprete template to mean "good for anyone to use, as is". They don't research the applicable laws, and are really just cutting and pasting without a real understanding of what they are doing.

If someone does the research and write something on their own the develop an understanding of the laws, therefore, the letter comes out better tailored to their situation.

There really is no one way to write a letter. I think sometimes when people see "template" letter, they think that's what they need to use. That also leads to overuse of the letter, and if pdl's see the same letter 20 times, it kinda looses it's impact.

Has anyone ever dealt with two companies: Geneva Roth Cap and Broadmore Ventures? I did a payday loan with Broadmore and Geneva also started pulling funds out of my account at the same time. When I went to my bank to get my money back from Geneva Roth it kicked the refunds with the company name Broadmore. The company I originally had the payday loan with. Now I've had to close both accounts that I have. Please help what do I do now to keep these companies from taking my money again.
